the 140mm to 170mm travel range was simply a product decision based on talking with our customers. Nothing more. A lot of our customers ride a Yeti SB140, Santacruz Bronson MX, Orbea Rise, Specialized Levo, Trantiion Sentinel, Evil Offering, Forbidden Druid, Pivot Switchblade, etc etc. These customers utilize 160 and 170mm max travel forks. We built what they wanted.
You say 160-170 was what most people wanted correct? Then why not make it 150-180 so 10mm up and down from your 2 most requested travels instead of all the way down to 140 excluding 180? I'm curious on the decision since I feel like fork is better suited for all mountain/Enduro than light trail. Thanks

I'm not sure what you're looking for me to say. 140-170mm was the product decision that we made based on what customers were asking from us. Our research pointed to a 140-170mm package so that's what we built.

I bet the fact that they used the ACS3 springs played a role as well. New, longer springs, would have probably pushed the price to $3k. 😂

Seems like a weird decision to have a fork like that go down to 140mm. I sure wouldn't want that big heavy brute on a little trail bike. Makes zero sense.

I would be stoked to have it on a big bike running at 180mm or even 190mm.

I already addressed this in post #39 and again in #42

Were those customers asking for a 140mm fork that weighed 2800 grams?
The Pike I'm running on a 140mm trail bike weighs 1900 grams. That is a massive weight difference.

We have sold a lot of shocks to customers on Revel Rangers and Evil Followings even though some people think it's ridiculous to put a heavy coil shock on thos bikes. The ELEVENSIX-Micro for those bikes was built because of demand from customers.

I'm having Deja Vu. First the cost, now the travel...

At least Dougal's commentary is exciting.

And you people wonder why more industry professionals don't come here. It's a good thing that PUSHIND has the patience of a father with eight six year olds.
I was thinking the same. Our level of discourse is pathetic. Darren has far more patience than I would with grown men acting like toddlers.

I'd wondered this after those pb gimps hadda pop off at Sully from ROTEC.

Now I've recently acquired a new ROTEC, I'm in need of speaking to Sully.

It's the very trolling like loiseau that genuine posters will want to go elsewhere.

Industry professionals don’t usually populate user forums. There never was or will be an attraction. There are much better and more productive ways to communicate with like minded people.
