Tough decision to stick the 2.6 tires or try 2.4 tires. Spoiled by the wide tires so got a pair of Ag 2.6 tires. These to replace the 2.6 XR4 tires that came on my Fuel EX8. The XR4s are getting close but taking a trip the end of the month and better take some spares.

Oh la la. This just turned up at my front door. 6pm on a Sunday night. I like. Very much. Hope it's comfortable :) It looks beautifully made. Now just got to break it in.

Well, 10 minutes of quietly pedaling around the back yard in the dark, I'm already a convert. All the horror stories of hundreds of miles break in period don't seem to apply to me. Felt pretty rigid when I very first parked my posterior on it, 5 minutes later I could start to feel it flex a little bit, 10 minutes in and my sit bones have already made some nice, shallow dimples into the leather. It's lovely. And apparently only going to get better from here on in. Throw away those stinky sweaty padded shorts that feel what I'd imagine an adult diaper feels like, and I'm off freeballing LoL LoL LoL. Feels a little bit slippery, I normally have my seat set a fraction Nose down, tweaked it back to pretty much dead level and you sort of just settle in there. Did I mention I really like it already? LoL. Taken it off again, given it its first treatment of Proofide, got another tub in the mail on its way to me. Happy days

Truvativ Atmos carbon 'bars. I just went to collect them from being cut down by my local bike mechanic. Will post another pic once they are fitted as I'm waiting on some new grips to arrive in the post...

Test fitted with old grips as new ones never showed in yesterday's post. I much prefer the narrower width and think it looks a lot more betterer, too.

Only a wee test ride as it's 30C, far too hot for us Brits. It's actually the humidity that's the killer here. If you ride, then stop, you're wringing wet within a minute or two!

The more I look at that photo, the more I like it. I apologise for not cleaning the bike. I never clean anything, can't remember the last time I washed anything other than myself or the dishes! I don't think I have cleaned my car this year yet...
