Good luck with the sale. I'm surprised that there isn't more pent up frame only demand since you can't buy a new SB frame/shock from Pivot yet.
Yeah totally. I thought for sure the switchblade would be the easy sale but my firebird went right away and I'm sitting on the switchblade

Well when they eventually are for sale as frame only they'll likely be $2999 and you can normally get a little off. I'd say you're a little overpriced for a used frame. That's my 0.2

Seems to me the x2 upgrade is a couple hundred bucks so 700 off of a frame that you can't get seems pretty fair at the moment. This is honestly the slowest time of year to sell bike stuff so I'm not worried I just figured people would be all over it.

I'd be all over it if it was a large but good luck with the sale. It's definitely a slow time of the year for riding so don't worry about it.

What are you building up as a replacement?

Fair play. And for some reason I thought you were a couple hundred more.

For everyone trying to sort out a solution to the lower link rock issue, have a look at post #34 in this thread. It shows a pic from vitalmtb where someone cut a piece of rubber to the right shape to cover the entire area and it looks like a really good solution. Not sure if it's just glued down but I guess you could zip-tie it or use some double-sided tape.

I still think the best solution is Helicopter Tape (or lizard skin patches) in this area as both are very durable and can be easily replaced. I have not purchased my Switchblade yet but when I do in March, I plan to do just this. The only other method that comes to mind would be a thin rubber piece. Possibly from thick inner tube cut out to size. Then take thin Velcro and apply one side to the linkage and the other side to the rubber piece so you can remove it and re-apply it. Possibly a piece of computer mouse pad...the real flexible rubbery kind and cut a piece for the patch?????

Got the same thing... and on the upper too
After owning a Mach 6 for several seasons of East coast Pa multible weather knar never had much concern about debris collecting at pivot, sure some surface wear but never more then that.Never affected frame integrity, jeez its a Mtn bike ride it collect battle scars and less anxiety over surface only wear.
