Coming May 31st, according to Pivot website. Any ideas what it is?

Mine is coming off as well. The solution requires you to use a hair-dryer to remove the current one before applying the new one. I will very nicely ask my LBS to do this for me.
Mine was coming off before I even left the shop with it brand new, day one.
Email Pivot about it... It's a known issue and they respond very promptly - just send them pics.Mine is coming off as well.

Whatever he is, you're right about safely ignoring him.Picard appears to be a troll. Just look at his series of one-phrase nonsensical comments/questions on this thread. I think he's safe to add to the ignore list.
I no longer own a Switchblade so I don't have a dog in the fight. I do think that anyone who has a complaint about the weight hasn't actually ridden the bike. Most size L bigger-travel 29ers with a dropper and real tires are roughly in the 30-ish pound range. Some a pound or two lighter. Some a pound or two heavier
Thanks for that. Mine is catching. I've emailed Pivot to see what they suggest is the biggest chain ring that can be fitted and I'm still awaiting a response.
Friend of mine has a 34t non oval on Next Sl crankset. My understanding is 34t is max fo SB.Thanks for that. Mine is catching. I've emailed Pivot to see what they suggest is the biggest chain ring that can be fitted and I'm still awaiting a response.
Did my first ever enduro on mine at the weekend. Every time I ride this bike it blows me away how capable it is as an all rounder. I'm able to get up technical climbs I've never managed in 20 years of riding and that's coming off a mach 429 which I thought climbed well! I'm running with the 17mm headset cup in and forks running at 160mm. I demo'd a 429 trail and Ripley LS before this was released, nearly bought the ripley but hung on to try it in an XL and then this was released. Boy am I glad I waited!!! For me it's my ideal all day, all terrain ride.

Sold ThanksAnyone interested in stock aluminum DT swigs 350 wheel-set with tires for Switchblade
OR if you want just the Boost 110 and 157 hubs to build your own let me know..
I never weighed a bike before my Pivot. I decided to see if it was worth the hassle. I weighed everything and picked parts with function, durability and weight in mind. I dropped over 7lbs off my previous bike with a sub-28lb build.
It's been 3yrs since that build and I've given some thought to whether it was worth it. Both from a cost and a hassle point of view. It definitely was. That bike is a joy to ride especially as the days get longer and I am more out of gas.
When I get my next bike I'll go through the same process. It's easy to add a bunch of weight onto your rig without realizing it if you are not diligent about tracking frame/parts weight.
That said I only paid attention to weight during the build process. Since I picked solid parts other than replacing tires, chains and brake pads I'm still riding the original build. I could have gone lighter, but I am not interested in breaking stuff regularly.
If you don't want to pay any attention to bike weight I get that and I wouldn't suggest you should. OTOH if it matters to you and you want a light bike it makes sense to me.
Thanks for the Reply Ken. So are you saying that in order to run a 34T ring it must have Zero dish/offset? So if laid on a bench it will be completely flat?Yes, 34t is max for a 1x setup AND you need to be sure to order a Zero offset ring. Wolftooth has them in stock if you want to try upsizing.
It's not a Switchblade so I don't know that would be of much help to you.Can you post your setup with weights?

It looks as though the race face 30T ring supplied with the bike has 3mm of Offset, the Absolute Black Non Boost ring has 6mm of offset so is both larger in diameter and is offset closer to the stays. Looks like I need the AB Boost ring which has 3mm of Offset, same as the OE ring.
I received the wheelset and tires - absolutely wonderful transaction. Thank you!Sold Thanks
Awesome man! Glad they are going to work.I received the wheelset and tires - absolutely wonderful transaction. Thank you!
Cool, thanks for the clarification Ken.That's correct. It needs the zero offset in order to clear the frame as the OD increases.
Mine shifts well. I have Di2. I would take it to a good mechanic. I had the same issue with my old 429. It just needed a good mechanic to tweek the front derailleur i.e. not myself.Hi guys.
ive ridden the SB in th XT/XTR build for 3 times, still setting up the bike, but everytime feels better.
I feel my 429 trail a bit more agile uphill but i really like the feeling on the bike.
However on 2 ocations, one just starting ascending on paved road and the second on the trail whe i changed from the 34t to the 24t ring the chain got trapped between the chainstay and the ring.
Ive taken a pic recreating the position it ended up and one with the damage made to te CS. Sorry forn them being sideways, dont kow why they uploaded like that.
Any one encountered the same problem? Is this caused by a bad install of the cranks and the rings? the bike shifts perfectly otherwise, and it has happened twice.
thanks in advance.
