Coming May 31st, according to Pivot website. Any ideas what it is?
My old Titus Switchblade was one of my favorite bikes ever.

Fit 4,15mmCan anyone tell me if the fox 36s come with a 15mm qr axle or a 20mm bolt through?
As mentioned before, STAs which affect reach are also highly variable due to suspension design and the push to shorter CS. Correct me if I'm wrong, but STAs and inseam can affect reach. People that are on the extremes of the bell curve with inseam can't assume by certain numbers that a bike will fit. People with long inseams and short torsos who don't run setback seat posts on FS bikes that have classic geometry may have issues with the new school geo. The WB and reach on my medium SB and my large 429T are similar. I speculate that the slack front end, longer fork and steeper STA on my SB allows me to climb without the front end wandering a little more easily relative to my 429T and especially when compared to my old Following.I was fortunate that the command post was given to me.I don't believe a ploy, body shapes are all over the place and unless you buy custom made you have to adjust components to fit production frames.
I was joking. Note "winky" emoticon.I don't believe a ploy,
Most people can ride two different frame sizes with a stem swap without being cramped on either size frame. Just depends on what they prefer longer bike for more stability or shorter bike for more maneuverability. The types of trails people ride vary widely so it's not exactly shocking that some people would prefer longer and some would prefer shorter bikes. These days with 45-55mm stems (or shoter!) there's just no reason to buy a bike you are going to end up cramped on for any significant (time) ride. People are still deathly afraid of a slightly large frame.
Doesn't make it a bad bike. I have a large that may well end up there too. It's a fantastic bike but it just doesn't fit for what I do. I thought I wanted the longer travel but turns out the 116mm of the Trail suits me best. Tells me I'm getting old!Used medium SB posted on classifieds, that didn't take long, geez.

I believe TT length and Virtual TT length are effected by STA and inseam. Reach is calculated drawing a vertical line straight up from the BB center, then measuring the distance from that to the head tube.As mentioned before, STAs which affect reach are also highly variable due to suspension design and the push to shorter CS. I stand corrected. That being said, when I transitioned to a Following, the bike felt wrong. The bike had a longer reach and ETT which I compensated for with a shorter stem, but my knees hurt and the front would all over the place. I typically ran a setback post and I finally hung a plumb line I realized that a zero setback post was necessary.I believe TT length and Virtual TT length are effected by STA and inseam. Agreed, as good as the SB is still a production frame, meaning not custom built to fit. I have had several frames built to fit and it is perfection but the ability to adapt to said production frames allthough risky at times can be accomplished through due diligence, expierence and lets not forget some voodoo too ! (-; I am very pleased with medium fit,a setback SP literally icing on the cake for fit. heading to Killington Vt this weekend for Enduro with Mtn tamer + size wheelset to get me some! When talk goes to sizing the one measurement that seems to get over looked is your ape index (wing span, shirt sleeve length, whatever). When your height makes you a tweener, the deciding factor could be your ape index. I'm 6'2" and I have to have at a 37" sleeve on my dress shirts. So when a large may seem like a solid option, it generally feels too short because of my reach, unless I go old school with a 110mm stem.
Just another fly to throw into the what size frame should I get question.
I thought Ape Index could only be considered when discussing climbing, isn't this a biking forum? I think that post needs to be edited, sorry.....When talk goes to sizing the one measurement that seems to get over looked is your ape index (wing span, shirt sleeve length, whatever). The Aeffect cranks are fine at my 200lb with gear so far. In future Next SL G4 when avaliable.I thought Ape Index could only be considered when discussing climbing, isn't this a biking forum? I think that post needs to be edited, sorry.....
on a serious note how are the spec'd cranks treating everyone, as a bigger guy I want to be sure the aeffect or the next sl cranks are gonna carry melove what pivot did but I didn't think through a couple things like crank options and now just want to be sure cranks that RF states are trail cranks are treating the bigger peeps well.
G4 for a SB ? news to me,would be sweet! Giving a shout to bike shop.I thought the SL G4 was already out?
Sweet,my X2 should be in this week, friend of mine is breaking/setting up his X2 past few days, huge improvement in performance over Evol in his opinion. Will take his word he is a head mechanic with LBS Pivot dealer and Fox certified sevice center mechanic. Will pimp off of him to set mine up!Teaser pic of my new switchblade. I upgraded the shock to the x2 and trying to locate some 800mm bars. Also working on upgrading the dropper to the factory kashima version. I go in tomorrow and help with assembly and then take it home. Can't wait to ride this beast.

Nice to know it's worth the $399 upgrade. I'm excited! I'm going from a 2014 stumpjumper with basic fox suspension to this with top end fox, it should make riding in the Arizona Desert much more enjoyable since our terrain is pretty rocky and harsh.Sweet,my X2 should be in this week, friend of mine is breaking/setting up his X2 past few days, huge improvement over Evol.
