Coming May 31st, according to Pivot website. Any ideas what it is?

My old Titus Switchblade was one of my favorite bikes ever.

I'm probably about 2 weeks away from purchasing a new SB. I've been following this post for months and I'm dying to get my butt on a new bike. I still love my Turner 5Spot but its time to move on and move up. Actually it's well past time.
Two quick questions before I pull the trigger. Curious if anyone has the Eagle X01 version and their impressions? I had been set on going with the XT/XTR 1x setup but since they made the Eagle available I'm kind of second guessing that choice. It's more $$, so is it worth the extra coin. I've never really had too much to complain about over the years with my Shimano setups. But that Eagle looks sweet and that 50 tooth bail-out gear has me intrigued. Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated.
Second question is what seat post came on your bikes? I noticed on Pivots website it lists the Fox transfer if you get a Md or Lg but Lev Integra on Sm and XSm. I only ask because Competitive Cyclist list the Lev as the standard post. I was on another site, that I can not remember at the moment, that also listed the Lev as the post. This isn't a deal breaker either way but I just want to be sure when I go to buy that I should be getting a Fox since I'll be ordering a medium.

Do you prefer 29er now? My b+ wheels are sitting in the garage.

No but I'm moving to a place where the plus won't be nearly as much of an advantage. When maxxis comes out with the 2.6 wide track minion in 27.5 I might slap those on my carbon 40s actually. Would be nice to have the plus option still. Just thought if somebody wanted plus and had the carbon 29s I'd swap em
I have an aluminum set.. the DT Swiss in 29" - sell or trade.

I had my new SB for 3 days of riding and then took it in for a minor tune up (cable adjust etc) at my LBS. We noticed that the front chain ring had been rubbing on the frame and the rubber chain guard was unattached at the site. The mechanic called pivot who told him to over night the bike back to them. I got it with the eagle with the 30T. I was told they would get it back to me asap and I was expecting it to take maybe a week but I just got my SB back after almost a month. Huge bummer as I live in Wyoming and fall is the best riding all year and a big reason I ponied up the dough when I did. Now the snow has already started to creep in. Originally they told my LBS that the frame was defective and they were going to replace the rear end. When I finally got it back nothing was changed except a new wolf tooth 32 front chain ring. I had also gotten the X2 but it was recalled while the bike was in transit so the float is back on it. I am disappointed with how long it took pivot to take care of this and I am still confused that they told us the frame rubbing was a manufacturing defect but then sent the same damaged frame back to me. The rubber chain guard was still unsecured and I ended up just super gluing it down. At least I have my bike back now. The bike is really fun to ride and this isn't my first Pivot and I haven't had any issues in the past but they dropped the ball with customer service in this case.

Did some people ride the DPS before upgrade for an X2 ?
It's to know the difference beetween us, uphill side and downhill side.
The firm position on the X2 is it effective for fire road climbing ?

Probably my future :

Switchblade with X2
Fox 36 fit 4 factory
Race face aeffect with 28 t oval
10 speed 10/42 shimano XT
Trigger slx
Rear shimano XT shadow +
Brakes Hope tech 3 E4 200/180
Wheels Arch MK3/Acros/CX-Ray
Tires : Butcher grid 2.3 / Slaughter grid 2.3
Bar : SB3 enduro flowy
Stem : Renthal 40 or thomson 50
Seat post : Specialized command post

I will buy a kit frame/fork/crank, buy on the other side wheels and recover the rest on my actual bike ;)

Can some one help me with The following info. Muy friend just ordered a SB with The XX1 eagle, Reynolds build and guide ultimate. Bike is coming next week but he wants to upgrade to 180mm discs at the rear and 200mm on front.
-Does someone know if the i9 hub on the Reynolds are 6bolt or center lock?
- can some one point me what brake calipers adapters should he use both from and back?

Thanks in advance.

Nah bro never heard of hydration packs.

Thanks for being a self righteous prick though. I'm sure you're heaps of fun to hang out with when you're not fapping to photos of the latest release from Camelbak.
No sense of humor? But yes, I do embrace my self rightous prickdom....and being right has its own sense satisfaction, water bottles really are stupid as well as spandex for Mtn biking.

My most low key ride can still put me 5 miles from the lot. I always ride with the same pack as I don't want to push my bike 5 miles in the event of a technical issue. I find it funny people want to go back to water bottles and fanny packs even though we gave them up in the 90s. Not hating, just don't understand the obsession.

Maybe just understand that different people have different needs/wants out of a ride?

I rode 10 miles today up and down National Trail at South Mountain. With no pack. Two water bottles and all the parts I would commonly need in my SWAT bibs. Wouldn't do it in the summer here in Phoenix, but other times of the year it's pretty nice to ride with no pack.

If you don't agree, that's OK.

The rear tire got a puncture after some hard riding down a rocky descent.

Am looking to replace it with the Nobby Nics. Any other recommendations for plus tires?
I've had fantastic luck with the Snakeskin Nobby Nics. I ran a 3.0 front and 2.8 rear for literally 1300 miles before replacing the rear. This was in Central Oregon - we don't have a ton of slick rock to kill the tread but we do have a lot of lavarock to rip sidewalls and these have been flawless.
