Coming May 31st, according to Pivot website. Any ideas what it is?

20mm in difference mostly. I'm the same height, and I would be going M as well. The M #s are very close to many other L bikes out there. Probably won't be running a 35mm stem like the cool kids, but that's fine with me, and hopefully suits my tight trails better.Just put $500 down for a size medium switchblade xt/xtr build. I'm 5'11 with 32 inch inseam and long torso. I'm pretty sure the medium makes more sense than the large, but I don't want to feel like a circus clown sitting on top of a too small bike...I can still go to a size L, but I'm afraid the the top tube and reach will be too long. Thoughts?
That's not confirmed. There is no SRAM Eagle crank that will fit this bike. I suppose one can use the Raceface one but the crank tooth profile is different.Francis, has that been confirmed, or is it just speculation? Was hoping I might be able to pick one up with Eagle by August.
If I remember right you're 5'11" with a long torso? I'd go with a large and use a shorter stem if needed. And, I'd get that in writing from the shop. I don't believe any shop would trade, especially if the bike has been taken out of the shop, ridden or not. I had a shop try to push a large on me when I ordered a medium. They ordered the large by mistake. I told them to eff off and bought something else. At least sit on a large first before you decide. It's to important of a purchase to be in a hurry over it.I did not try the large as they didn't have one in stock. I'm pretty certain that the medium is the right size for me and the shop will give me a large if that size works better for me (I haven't taken the bike home yet). From everything I've read and heard, I've not seen anyone my size say they're going with a large. Pretty excited to pick it up and go for a ride...hopefully tomorroe

If you're a repeat costumer and the bike can be easily sold then it's not an unreasonable request. That being said, I only know of two shops that would may do that for me. More likely to happen with a lower spec bike.If I remember right you're 5'11" with a long torso? I'd go with a large and use a shorter stem if needed. And, I'd get that in writing from the shop. Absolute black have confirmed their chainrings fit. The different tooth profile is apparently to prevent wear in soft SRAM chainrings that have caused chain suck in the past. The internal chain measurements do not change in Eagle 12 speed only the outer measurements are narrower. So unless SRAM are being douchebag's withholding parts unless the whole group set is used then shouldn't be a problem. That's not confirmed. There is no SRAM Eagle crank that will fit this bike. What I'm hearing is if you're not gonna use the Eagle crank, you get no Eagle group. (as OEM)
And if it's still up in the air by now, it's not gonna happen this year for the end consumer
Ask the shop to put a short stem on the large before you try it. Also, make sure you don't have the seat all the way back unless you like it that way.So the bike is still at the shop - never taken out. I have to pay the balance (I only put 10% down) when I pick it up. My plan is to sit on both (they're supposed to have a large this weekend). I confirmed with the owner that I've secured the medium so it's not sold before they have a large in stock for me to throw a leg over. I totally agree that I need to sit on a large before I fork over the rest of the money.
I figure if they won't work with me on making sure my fit is perfect then worst case I walk away...but from their perspective I figure they're not making much on the sale of this bike at the price they're selling it and the idea is to make me a loyal customer (and make money from selling me accessories, tires, mechanical work etc)...if they won't work they see a big sale walk away and lose any future business. I'm pretty confident they'll work with me to keep my business. That said I'm 90% certain the medium is the right size bike.
Thanks for the info.

What do you mean by metric shock?I wonder if this frame will be able to fit a metric shock, may be using another clevis.
