2020 Oiz M10 TR Size XL

- 25 lbs 13 oz - complete bike, stock out of the box, no pedals, with tubes
- 803g + 915g = 1718g - DT Swiss XR-1650 Spline wheels. They came taped for tubless. Without valves
- 127g - FSA 90mm stem. Replacing because I want an 80 or 70.

I'm a long and lanky 6'3" and am on an XL M10 TR. Granted I'm running a 65mm stem, partly because in reality this is just a training bike to do long rides on rather than my Rallon so I set it up to mimic that cockpit as much as possible. I could easily run a longer stem and there is no way a large would work for me in other measurements. For instance I could run a 200mm dropper slammed on the XL so saddle to bars would be ridiculous on a L.

You are a bit taller than I am. I'm just a tad under 6' 1" and not quite your inseam either. I intentionally went with the XL because I wanted to run a shorter stem (70 right now) so the net cockpit will be the same. Also my previous bike that was a L felt a bit small for me and I wanted to go from a 100mm fork to a 120 the old bike, which would have shortened the cockpit even more.

I've got one short ride on the Oiz now and it felt pretty good. I was looking at the geometry of that Spark and it is a bit longer bike. On paper the reach of the XL Oiz is right in between the L and XL spark. The reach of the L Oiz is between the M and L Spark. It's a tough call, and yeah I very much wonder what I would have bought if I had the chance to ride both the L and XL.

Changed out the wheels, crank and cassette, went tubeless and around 24 lbs 8 oz now. Haven't figured the right psi for the rear suspension or how to set up the 3 position remote. I know there is discussion in really long thread and need to go find it and read it.

Thanks for the replies. I wish I had noted how much seatpost I had showing on the XL when I demo'd . My seat height is right at 30" (center of bottom bracket to top of seat measured along seatpost) and I think there was about an inch of seatpost showing on the XL which gives me a small amount of adjustability lower if I needed it.

On the Scott XL I had to lower the seat all the way to get to 30" which told me it would not work.

I think a local dealer has a 2019 XL on the floor - I may drop by and measure.

So the local dealer finally put the 2019 on sale. They also had a great clearance sale going on a set of Mavic Crossmax Carbon wheels. With the wheel swap and set up for tubeless with sealant, the Oiz weighed 25 lbs exactly without pedals.
