I recently scored a used 2016 Aurum AL frame for super cheap for my wife and immediately turned to the mtbr forums to gain some more insight on the newly acquired purchase. To my surprise there was little to almost no information about them here, at least not the newer version.

So I figured I'd start an Aurum thread to show off my build. Feel free to post your build too!

Frame is freshly cleaned and ready to be built.

Decided to go with a Xfusion Metric because I had it sitting around the garage. However, I just figured out that the crown won't clear the downtube. Maybe I'll have to see if Norco sells the downtube guard with integrated bumpers individually. Does anyone know?

Went with a Spank Oozy wheelset simply because the price was right. The tires were left overs from another build, and the drivetrain is coming off of her other bike.

Had a pair of older Saint cranks kicing around, and thought it was a bit of a shame for them to go onto an almost new bike. So I gave them a little face lift that will hopefully balance them out.

Almost all of the parts are in. Just waiting on front hub adapters. I'm not usually the type to wait on a build, but for some reason I'm holding off until all the parts are here before I start.

Still waiting for these wheel adapters. But got her saddle in, which also made me realize that I need to pick up a seat post.

Had to go with Chromag for the saddle. They're always spot on, and comfortable. Sure a lot nicer than the old specialized one it's replacing.

Had to pull out a few items today to do some cleaning so I figured I could use the opportunity to take a token pre-build shot.

According to the spec sheets, the downtube guard/bumper thingy is available separately.

It's part number 915400-001, your dealer should be able to order them in for you from Norco.

Awesome, thanks! I've got one on order. Oh and they're very affordable for anyone looking for one. Like under $15 from Norco.

Also a quick update on the build. The wheel adapters arrived, and I had an afternoon off so I got it built up.
