It doesn't have in-frame storage and 'Mocha Mousse' isn't a color option? Sign me up  Hopefully my wife has forgotten that I built a Nitrous last year :cautious:

Looks cool! Wonder what the rear triangle is made of?

It's like the reverse of the classic painted front with polished rear!
Turner said in the video the whole thing is ti. Which is really cool that he did a black finish on it.

I just watched the Sea Otter Day 1 Recap on the Awesome MTB YouTube Channel...

David says that this is a concept bike that he is just about to start testing on dirt next week, fwiw. It is full titanium.
Full Ti is cool and all from a bling factor but it wouldn't bother me in the least if he went with Ti front triangle and an aluminum rear end on the production model to help keep the price in check.

At full Ti it wouldn't surprise me if we'd be looking at a price of entry ~$4500 which would severely limit his market.

Ooooohhhh yeah. My old Burner was one of my favorites. Ti Ticks my Ticker, Tiotally, Tibest, Tidabomb... Thought I had all of the bikes I would ever need...

That's great to see Turner getting back into the FS market. The Turner Flux 275 was the most fun I've had on two wheels.......punched way above its travel. The Turner Flux might just have been the first "Down Country" bike.

It's funny how many people I've heard say their old Turner was their favorite bike.. I probably have to say the same about my czar 10+ yrs ago too.. Wonder if was just time and place.. regardless, many good times on that thing.. looking forward to some new full squish from DT!

You can see the pic of my 17 year old Sultan in post #16 that is still rolling strong. I also have a V4 Ripley that is an absolutely fantastic bike in its own right and I love riding. But to this day there are certain times and places I still choose to ride my Turner over the Ripley.

Circa 2012, I use to come on the Turner forum and cross swords with a guy about what suspension was better. Then I had a chance to buy a Turner Flux 275 and had to eat a lot of crow, because DW Link was better.

If DT listed preliminary geometry, I would put down money ASAP. That frame looks very sexy. I'm all in.

I'm keeping a slot open for this frame.

Yeah, but then it's not a Ti bike. :(

I just got back from Monterey last night, and came straight here to post this bike. I couldn't stay away. Also, thanks for spending time pointing at bikes with we common folk, Mr Turner. All hail the Ti.

This bike was by far, the highlight (to me) of Sea Otter. So much want.

Site unseen( in person), I think this bike is awesome! Maybe I missed it, but has anyone confirmed that this bike uses a DW Link rear suspension? It looks like it from the photos I’ve seen.

Is it just me or does the head angle look a little ridden-into-a-wall steep? The geometry of my Nitrous feels spot on.... but it appears slacker than the burner.... maybe its a lens aberration from people getting close up on the stand and using wide angle capture? We need numbers!

OK, I answered my own question - thank you bike rumor! These numbers sound eminently rideable.

"The Burner Gen 4 tentatively has 125mm rear travel, with a 140mm fork, 66º head tube angle with a 76º seat tube angle, and 29″ wheels. For now, that’s all the details Turner would confirm"

Click the article, there are some nice close ups. Lots of 3-D printing on this one, the rocker in particular looks sick - appears to be a single formed piece.

I can also see some of those 17 degree back-sweep Ti bars migrating onto at least one of my bikes soon.....

This is what I have been waiting for but the only concern is the weight. Ti is nothing like aluminum in terms of weight and it might have to be real thick to not flex much.

But if it is not too bad, sign me up! I only hope Turner still does his trade in program as I have 5-Spot that is in great shape that I could trade in!
