:madmax: Talk about a FR - DH Rig.... Tough as Hell! External Grease Ports! Time Proved Linkage! I have got a True Stiffy. I'm talking about my rig, dude. Needle bearings and beefy linkage gives incredibly stiff rear end. Corners unreal. The headtube is like a keg. The One.Point.Five headtube allows for a shorter stack height and more adjustability with your fork. Allows you to really pin the switchbacks and tighter turns. Full Length seattube. STOP. Realize all FR bikes should have a full length seattube, DUH! If it doesn't, then it is lame. My rig pedals right up Colorado single track at about 42 lbs. Full leg extension. I will race this bike DH. I run a 888 RC2X, Roco RC. Stable Platform--> Not Nessacary-->JUNK. This bike will knock your dick in the dirt. You better recognize when I come blazing past you. Tell me what you think....................

I am not saying that the Konas are weak, it was a grab at a current discussion that alot of people are familar with. I can say that the way i ride bending rockers or breaking frames is the least of my problems. There are many time that companys use the marketing desision for eye candy rather then the R&D. Versus has built a very functional frame that has tecnoligy that others wont spend the money on, like the needle bearings, they also throw in some flair. As anything some people like while others dont like, this is all normal. From talking with Herb at Versus & seeing how they progress they are going forward & listening to what people have to say & there test riders.
I looked at Kona, Banshee, Azonic & Transition beffor buying the Versus. They are all excelent bikes & i can guarantee if i bought one of the others it would have been the best for me. Guys like WCH & zak, ya i know there are more of ya, need bad ass bike because they ride hard, riders like me do foolish things & have a blast riding, crashing (ouch), jumping (not as big), kick ars time.
