That's what I wanted to hear. Someone who's used it for at least a year with reliability. And using it on your demo fleet shows me it can stand up to some rigorous riding. Might have to give the Bachelor a hard look for my HD3. The X-Fusion Hilo Strate I have on it at the moment is a piece of junk.
To be fair, I haven't used it for a full year yet... it was just launched in mid-2016.

My second favorite post of the group is the Transfer- very similar in feel and operation to the PNW. I really like the idea and feel of the Reverb too, but I just haven't had any luck with them. And the Lev posts.... no freakin' way.

Thanks for the clarification Steve. I like my Fox Transfer too. I contacted PNW with a few questions, so once I hear back from them I'll make a decision between the Bachelor and the Transfer.

So the HD3 is a few years old now. Do people still think it's a fresh modern bike or are some of the new bikes showing it up a bit?

I love mine but can't help look at the new breed of do it all 29ers!
The HD3 was introduced in Nov 2014, with the Plus capabilities added in March 2016. I still consider it a modern bike, and it's highly functional and accomplished, especially in techy terrain. Sure there are a few bikes now with some abilities to switch between 27.5 and 29, but I haven't found it hugely necessary on my regular rides. I have a Ripley LS and the HD3 Plus, and almost always use the HD3.

I think you might have saved me a few ÂŁÂŁÂŁÂŁÂŁ!!!
I was almost pushing the button on a 120 mm ish trail bike, maybe even a ripley. However I have been thinking would the HD3 still get used but I guess the HD3 is a do it all kind of bike

Latest setup: 165mm atlas cinch cranks (170mm were causing me hip pain), 30t wooftooth chainring, 11-46 cassette, and straitline de facto pedals. Also moved the fork back to 160mm with the -1 works headset. Not the lightest build, but great for the time I spend in the parks on it.

Hi Mojo HD3 users. Im considering this bike, but Im solving size issue.
Im 186 cm high so i shoud use size L acording Ibis table. But i should also fit XL too. This I asnt able to test yet. I was sitting on L and I felt a lttle short on this bike. If you take a look on sthe seat tube its on XL by 5cm higher and Im affraid that i will be able to use only 125 dropper, if ever...

Did any solve it here in the past? Im not sure whichone i should pick...

At 186cm, no contest, XL all the way. I'm 183cm, have owned both a L and XL. I am very happy with the XL and would never go back to the L. I also have longer leg length for my height and I can just squeeze a 150 reverb on it. Some other brands of seatpost, like KS lev, use less total length to fit in a 150mm dropper. There's a great table of measurements on the Ibis HD3 page if you haven't seen it already.

I am 187 cm and went with the XL. Running the KS Lev 150 with no issues.
I demoed both bikes prior and the L was just too cramped.
