Anybody else set their bike up with a 170mm fork? We put this one together here with a 170mm Fox 36 and plenty of matching accents (including the custom Nox decals, which look great btw)

Has anyone gone from a Nomad to an HD3? I may be making that move in the next few weeks... I absolutely love my Nomad so I'm a little apprehensive. I'd love to hear from someone who's actually made the switch.

He could give you a very good comparison - but I'm guessing he'll say don't do it.

What's the rational for the move?

Well... I own a company (see signature below) that may be partnering with Ibis, so I'd ride an HD3 this year and would sell my Nomad. Nothing is set in stone yet, but since I haven't ridden an Ibis before, I was curious to see what others say.

The Nomad is probably a bit of overkill for my riding style, but it's the most fun bike I've owned to date.

If the nomad is a bit overkill you'll get on well with the HD3. Just put a 160mm fork on their and some proper tires. Tight, twisty and chunky single track both up and down the HD3 rocks. Wide open chunky downs, bike park stuff the nomad wins.

Any advise on good looking grips matching the matte black frame?

Looking at either the light blue ESI grips, og the blue half-Nelson grips from raceface. Also considering light gray grips, but unsure if that gives enough "pop".

Nope, only for frames designed around a 51mm offset suspension fork. Mostly 29rs.

After I hit submit, I figured I'd get called out on that one.

I know. Being patient and saving for this one slowly. Just finished up my Ripley so.....no need for another bike (Did I just say that?) right now.

Looking at a bigger trip to Europe next season so that is why I'm looking at a bigger rig. Planning to try and demo a mojo, insurgent, etc, in the coming year. Picking off parts as I find deals.
