Luv the green too but if I don't replace my old black bike with a new black bike my wife notices...
Dropped by Trailhead Cyclery to see if there was an ETA on my green medium, but still no date from Ibis. At least I got to check out the frame while I was there. So tempted to change my order but I love the green too much!

Could you please weight it?
What size and color?
My Medium Nude carbon HD3 frame w/ Fox CTD shock weight is 5.82 lbs. (w/ seat clamp), no maxtle. I am targeting mid to high 24 lb. range for the complete build.

I am also happy to report that the BB , as measured w/ RaRa 27.5 x 2.25 tires, 40mm rims and Pike 160 fork is approximately 13.1- 13.2", just what I was hoping for (as I also ride a SC blur TRC and Solo w/ Bb's in the 12.8"-13.0" range). I am definitely a fan of lower BB's for enhanced cornering and that planted ride feel, the most important dynamic of a bike IMO.

Haha!

I have to say thats actually 95% of the reason I went with black over the blue...
You too?

LOL....hilarious. I thought that only worked for me. If it don't come in a black model it comes off my list.
OK, I feel way less ashamed of myself now. Haha! Thanks guys

Hehe, I felt betrayed that the HD3 is not offered in vitamin P for the same reason. The green is way different. ;)
I'd love to see a Green HD3 and VPee HD in the same pic. The green looks different in every picture I see... but I'm leaning that way anyway. Too much black for too long... I think I have a wifey strategy figured out...will involve much cleaning and selling off of unused bike frames/wheels/parts from the garage. Wish me luck gentlemen.

Get the green! Here's a link to what I believe is the best representation of the new HD3 green. Well, at least on my computer :). Most of the reviews definitely have more of a yellowish tint to them. Hope this helps.

Here's a pic Lars from THC sent me from Ibis headquarters. Pre-production on the left and production on the right. Fluorescent light taken indoors with a cell phone but you get the general idea.

Well,

The bike build final count is in. Drum roll please, final Built bike weight.........much lighter than anticipated.... with dropper post
24.2 lbs. :eekster:

All this at a cost of ... well, maybe not your first born but certainty your first two cars, or $ 6975. Not too bad, taking into account the performance upgrade of a $1560 custom I-9 carbon wheel set w/ ceramic bearings, carbon crank, xx1 drivetrain, formula RO brakes).

Wow..that's amazingly light. Is that weight without pedals? I know the RaRa are lightweight, but damn 24.2lbs is 3pounds lighter, w/o pedals, than some of the builds posted.

Ya, I'm thinking of maybe swapping the Ra' Ra's for the Rock Razor/Hans Damph tire combination for a little more performance in technical terrain, which will add about 0.3 # to the complete HD3 build weight, putting the complete bike at 24.5# which still absolutely rocks for a 6" AM bike! Just waiting to receive my cut/bled Formula RO brakes from Italy to complete the build, then hit the trail. Ride report to follow.

Light build regardless! I take it that you went with a Pike instead of the Fox?

Insanely light for a 6" bike. Sweet. What rims did you go with? What did the wheel build come in at? Would love to see a build list.
