interested to hear how the purgatory will be with the derby
i built mine derby initially with butcher and slaughter but it didnt feel good at all. Could be because it was the control version so the sidewalls were not strong enough.

Is that weight with pedals?? Pretty impressive considering mine is similar but with xo1 and weights high 28.

Amazing builds

anyone 6' running an XL?
I'm 6'1 and running an xl with a 35 stem. Feels good nothing I'd change. Would have liked to try an large but didn't want to throw a longer stem on.

Sweet thanks! Your saving about 150g with the wheels and at least 100g over my guide rsc with matchmaking clamps and 130 with over my pedals so thats about a pound there. Plus a few grams your saving in stem and grips. I need to weigh mine again after but nice to see that you got it in the high 26 pound range. It's sad that I've become a weight weenie with this bike ha ha it's a disease.

Yeah you know I just dug back through the thread and your build is close enough that ~2lbs of difference doesn't seem right even though I do have a lot of here and there's where I shave some weight like you mention. I think my numbers are pretty accurate. The individual weights above were done on a kitchen digital scale, and the final full bike was also weighed on my Feedback Sports scale. Both add up the same. I just threw a 30 lb dumbbell on my Feedback for kicks and it shows 29.98 so close enough for me.

Today is my last day as a weight weenie as my build will most certainly end up heavier over time. I had fun while I was building it and tried for lightest parts I felt could realistically handle my terrain / riding. I am almost certain it will be heavier by end of season, but this is my day 1 starting point and I'll adjust from here.

Butcher is the worst tire EVER on wide rims. I know several people including myself that have the exact same experience. Something about the tire just doesn't mesh for some reason. On the other side the Slaughter is amazing in Socal conditions.

Can you describe why you don't like it? I can be on the look out.

I'll check out the Slaughter
