i just got the Ergon SME3 Pro because it has the right width fot my sit bones...not too heavy and Ergon is known for, er, ergonomics.

i have zero time on it because I am still waiting on my HD3...

I'll echo your thoughts on carbon rails just don't last. I've been pretty happy with the Silverado saddle and weights 190 for the TI or 210 for the Pro.

Got out for a shakedown ride on the HD3. A few photos of my XL build. I minimized the NASCAR factor by doing away with most logos, modified the port for Reverb, modified chain guide which is now just a bash guard, I9s, and a carbon railed Regal saddle are a few bits that aren't standard fare.

This ride looks good!

Hott Stuff. Nice whip. I'm going to be doing the same with my AMP guide/skid plate too. Don't think I need the guide, but I've had a couple of close calls recently where I almost hit my ring so I like the idea of the extra protection, even if I rarely need it.

Thanks for the kind words. As much as I would like to have removed the logos altogether, I just covered them with nicely cut Gorilla tape, which is about a close a match as you will get to the frames finish, and will also help protect the frame. fork stickers peel right off. head tube badge is two screws.

Here we have the HD3 in its natural environment .

looks like i forgot one on the fork

Picked up my frame just before the weekend and had my personal mechanic get on building asap! Got to get in some good rides this weekend! What a great bike!

I have been riding my HD3 in some snow, mud and sand, and when I tore it down the other day I saw some cosmetic damage by the upper link. I'll fill in the gouges when I have a chance, but I added a small flap to prevent crud that the tire flings up from entering that location.

Seeing a lot of greens being posted lately, more than matte and almost no blues.
Is it a supply issue (ie lots of greens available) or are you guys preferring that colour?

I wanted and ordered blue, with an eta of mid May. Got a call that green was available "now" so I jumped on it! In the end I'm just glad to be riding the bike!

I think the gloss paint job is going to be my only beef with this bike. I already have scratches and dents through the clear coat from rocks flying up hitting the frame.

People with the Pivot Mach 6 are having the same issue but I've never seen one with that much paint finish damage. I've had my Mach 6 for 16 months and have VERY minor damage compared to that.

Here's the build on the first shakeout ride.

I didn't get the chance to use it in anger but so far I am beyond happy with how she rides. The one upside of the long wait is that I really got to shop around for the parts and really get the cost down.
