Very nice. I'm interested in the weight as well. I've got the same wheel set-up ready to mount on my green XL frame....the frame that I'm HOPING is gonna FINALLY arrive tomorrow, according to the tracking details....

27ish for the XL would be phenomenal. My XL HD, with nothing particularly heavy on it (I think), weighs 31+

Looking forward to your results.

Green and Purple HD3

Second day riding - very happy with this bike! Climbing is way better than my old Intense Carbine 275. Descending is at par or better than Carbine - confidence inspiring. Still getting used to the Zee brakes. No on/off feeling compared to the XTR trail brakes.

Got it done this weekend. So fun to build, wish I could do this every weekend. My first internal routed bike and stealth seat post, but super easy with the Park IR tool.

Only had time to take it around the hood tonight, everything's rock solid and good to go. I'm very impressed with the drivetrain so far. Wasn't exactly sure what to expect throwing a 2x Next SL in the mix with a new Shimano 11 sp system, but it runs through the gears like a dream. The shifters are the only exception, they just look plastic, and they lost all the great position adjustability the previous XTR had.

It finished out at 30.12, was hoping for sub-30. But it's still nearly 2 lbs lighter than my HD, and I could easily get it under 30 by simply going with some different tires.

All in all, I'm super stoked and ready to hit the hills tomorrow.

I ordered an HD3 Special Blend last week in black and upgraded to the Ibis 741 wheels! Anyone ever see the black HD3 with red wheel decals? I like the blue and silver decals but my favorite color is red. Its just that there is no red on the frame. Pics if you got em would be great.

Special Blend+

Just got my medium HD3 built up. Super excited! This is by far the sexiest bike I've owned. Should be a big upgrade from the 2013 Norco Sight I was riding (26" wheels).

Special Blend build plus the following changes:
- LEV 150 upgrade from Ibis
- Older XT cranks with RF 34t nw ring
- XT 11-36 cassette
- RF Turbine 35 bar (760mm) and 50mm stem
- Maxxis Ardent 2.25 rear tire, Minion DHF 2.3 front

About 28.3lbs as shown.
