I think ur scale is waaay off, even if it was a small... ;)

Please update once u weigh it on another scale,
You are right. I re-weighed the bike today on a (2) separate scales and got the same result. With the addition of the final internal routing of the dropper post cable and lever the bike is now officially at ... 24.71 lbs.

Biggest weight savings is likely in the tires, I-9 wheelset (1476 gms), Next Sl carbon crank and Formula RO brakes. Answer Sl bars, carbon stem. The frame is size medium.

Mine is 26.8lbs, size large... 2lbs heavier,

You got me beat on the rims by 340g including tires, I'm also running the CC dbinline shock, so a little there.

Brakes are the same 'ish, as I'm running the MAGURA next SLs 180f/160r.

U running sealant? I really can't figure out where the extreme difference would be. I can see a pound, but two.

Nonetheless, beautiful build. I think u will win for a long time for lightest as I've seen similar all building up for 26lbs and it looks like u got everyone beat by about a pound.

In all honesty, according to my component gram count it should have weighed in at a hair under 26lbs, so I'm not sure where the extra weight is... I also accounted for the weight penalty of the blue paint, sealant, cable routing, I do have a very early production frame without non drive side lower routing ports.

To add another component to you weight analysis: the Ibis Mojo downtube guard weighs around 50grams Mr. Buggymancan doesn't have one installed.

150g for the downtube protector? wow, thats a brick...

Lol, actually I remember mine was weighed pre guard as it was included when she was delivered. I got one from ibis shortly after,

Anyway, luv her anyway...

...especially since down under we run the rear brake lever on the left, not on the right.
I do the same thing (not that I've mt biked in Europe where I'm from) but there is a reason motocycles have right hand->front break setup. 90% of your breaking in the front tire, so use your right hand!

I've switch both my US bikes that way - friends don't need to borrow them! :)

Nice bike Pete! I'm from England but have lived in the states almost 20 years. I run my brakes the same way as you. I've sent a few friends OTB when borrowing my bikes ;) my road bikes are set up the same way too. I've never understood why it's backwards here - or why zips on jackets are opposite also.
yep, 30+ years in the US and run them the RIGHT way :) (right hand->front) Motocycles and physics can't be wrong... one thing I don't get either.

Does anyone on here have the special blend version? I'd love to see some pics and hear there thoughts.

Thanks... this is unreal but I'm glad it can be done!

absolutely unreal.
have you ever checked your scale with a (higher) known weight?
ultimate scales are prone to be way off. the more weight you put on them the worse it gets.
