you are riding the trail 100 on the hd3?
I rode it last year on the hd-r and had way too much bike for the fireroad heavy course but still didnt feel like I was giving up a lot to an xc fs bike. I'm no wc pro though jaja. Good luck on the race this year.

Made the move from an HD-R 650b to the HD3.
The bike looks amazing!
Gordon from Velo Hangar built up this beast.
We went xtr 1x11 with an x1 crank for now, but saving up for a next sl.
Problem with bikes like this is that I am left with zero excuses but I'll take it.

I have a dvo diamond on a large frame. With the low speed compression lever in the least ideal position i have 1/2 mm of clearance. Perfect fit

 

pics? looking at geting an hd3 at the end of this summer and was wondering how the dvo diamond would look on that frame. cause im kinda worried it wont look good with the frame

 

Well it's a love/hate thing with the dvo green on the bleu HD3 but i love it...

If you jump on the Ibis Facebook page, they've featured a black HD3 with a green Diamond, and green grips. It also has green decals on the rims and over the Ibis frame logo.

Funnily, it was the exact colour scheme I'm going for so its good to see that it looks great.

Sixpack racing (electric green is a perfect match). It's a German brand. I run their pedals too.

 

Six months on and the HD3 still blows me away!

 

what water bottle cages fit on the HD3? Just got my large frame and none of the water bottle cages I have fit.. they hit the seat tube and the holes don't line up because the cage is too long...

 

Arundel sideloader works great!! pricey though!

Bontrager RXL (or cheap Chinese knockoff) works fine here

 

Shimano Zee II cages should work as well.

 

I have a bontrager rxl side load on my ripley and it does not fit my HD3... no way I'm spending 60 bucks on a freakin waterbottle cage either... anything cheaper confirmed?

 

I'm using an Specialized sideloader, works fine.

 

What size frame are you on? The Bontrager looks about the same dimensions as the other cages mentioned people are running.

 

I use the Jenson carbon cage on my Large HD3. It works great and is cheap.

Looks awesome! How does the avy cartridge performance compare to the stock pike? I assume it's the open bath cartridge rather than the avy mods to the charger damper?

Where is that? I'm heading to OC this weekend and will hopefully be bringing the HD. Most likely will ride whiting or aliso.

I've been working at this for a couple of months ,medium frame mostly XT Wolftooth 42, RF 30, ODI 50mm stem Pike 150mm ,I'm 5'6" frame fits nice. this is a frame up build which each component i tried to be discipline and get some type of deal on, some wins and some losses, but in the end a nice bike .:thumbsup:

That green color way is very pleasing to the eye. Well done sir :thumbsup: I just used those Hope Tech 3 E4 brakes on my new Knolly Warden build. Haven't ridden it yet though. How do you like them so far?
