A new bike like the HD3 deserves a new Action thread! There's gonna be some cool pics and video with the HD3, let's see em!

Thought I'd start it off with this super cool HD3 pic by the ENDURO Mountainbike Magazine guys. NICE!!!

SP as usual nails it. I've been riding a Tracer T275c lately and feel it splits the diff between the HD3 and Nomad. Narrow margin admittedly but climbs better than Nomad but not as well as HD3 and descends better than HD3 not as well as Nomad. Sweet spot for me and where I ride tho!

Haven't gotten on the XL yet and Jenna the Demo Goddess at Ibis says don't pester her or I'll never get to ride it! Last word I had was March if that. The Tracers were all L and fit me like a condom, er, I should say glove so as not to get in trouble from doismellbacon. The T275c L sizes me perfect, monkey arms and all. Never had a bike fit me so well. With all the talk about the HD3 and Nomad and SB6c and Following folks have kinda forgotten about the T275c, a shame because it's a smack ride.

Thanks for posting up some visuals Covy!

@BikeIntelligencer- I finally took the HD3 over to where I demoed the Tracer 275c, as well as other bikes for a better comparison (Miner's Trail loop). Going off memory here, but I didn't think the HD3 gave up anything on the DH to the 275c. I thought it was actually a bit more planted and floated over the chunky parts better. We are talking different forks, shocks and rims. But it just confirmed for me that I got the right bike. As for fit though, I can see with the longer reach the Tracer working better for you.

It could be strictly a sizing issue. The 3 in an L cramps me just a bit and that of course is going to show up more on the DH than climbs. Still waiting to try the XL but I may be classic tweener on the 3.

I imagine everybody is too busy having fun riding to stop for pictures! Anybody know a good way to use an iPhone for solo action shots?

I've had the bike a couple weeks now, and even ride seems to get better! Its really a blast to ride. I'm not only PRing my old times, but more importantly having more fun. I really cannot think of any way its not better then my old HD. As for fit, I feel it is spot on for me, and the stock bars and stem feel great. No need to go super wide. Remember how everybody was upgrading their shocks on the HD to get it to feel plusher? Well, no need for that with the DB Inline. Truly a great shock.

If you have a 5/5s/5c, you might take a look at the HITCASE product line. They offer a case with 2 different lenses and various ways of carrying/mounting the iPhone. They also have a iPhone app that overlays distance, speed, shock, g-force and maps on the video.

Some good discussions about the T275c vs HD3. I have a large T275c right now and love it on the DH but for some reason I'm just not enjoying the climbs with it. It just feels sluggish and I feel like it saps more energy out of me then my 66c which weighed about the same. The HD3 seems to offer the perfect set up for climbing and DH which is why I'm intrigued. Though the sizing worries me a little bit as I'm 6'1 210.

Slight pedal feedback on the Tracer but it shouldn't feel sluggish. Shock settings are key here, what're you running? The 3 climbs better but that's true of any other bike you compare the 3 to. I give edge to T on dh, longer wheelbase and VPP, but all this is personal preference. At 6-1 and 200 w gear the 3 feels a bit tight in L and lots of folks have said it sizes on the short side. Longer reach on T fits me perfect but I haven't ridden the 3 XL yet.
