I got mine together last weekend. First ride yesterday. Short report;
-frame is significantly stiffer than regular Mojo (which I have been riding 3 years)
-behaves much more stable in descends than Mojo (like a freight train, in positive sense)
-climbs as well as Mojo
-MRP bash works well with Shimano Saint short gage

I will tell more later then I get chance.

Sorry about the crappy pic and dirty bike:

MPI, is your fork a Lyrik with a small mud flap or a Magura? How do you like the angles for general riding compared to the Mojo? What is your gear ratio, cassette and crank, on your 1x9 setup and how is it working for you?

Beautiful Bike. Maybe it's the clean look of the frame, but now the Mojo is sexier than ever.

Fork is Magura Wotan. I like it stiff (a little bit weight penalty though ) I have 34T in front and normal 11-34 in rear. Suits better than normal 32T for my type of riding. Lower steering angle is just fine for me. I have to try 70mm stem (which I rode in Mojo) also.

Greets MPI !

No need to apologize for dirt! Nice bike. I'm going with the white and blue links also.

I'm coming from a bit bigger bike, a Turner Highline, which is for sale right now. But I'm betting the HD will be close on the decents, while much better on the climbs.

Nice bike there. What is your gear setup/ratios? Can this MRP bash work in a regular mojo?

Hi!

HD notes after couple of rides:

IMHO the HD climbs as good as Mojo. I have to adjust my climbing position a little because I use 50mm stem. That RP23 with boost valve it is not as plush as Pushed RP23 in Mojo. I have about 205 psi minimum to avoid it bottoming up. ( I like to pump the bikes rear with feet and trying to ride actively). Descending is fun if you ride the bike actively. You get much better feedback from bike comparing to a Mojo. I think that´s why frame is much stiffer than Mojos That MRP thing is superb.

Be careful then routing the rear brake hose between seat tube and rear triangle´s "vertical connector bone". You have to adjust free lenght of brake hose in that area very carefully to prevent the hose contacting between upper link and seat tube. If the hose is too long it might tear apart and you loose fluids from hose. So test it before you ride it.

All in all the HD is like Bikeradar says: "Mojo with Steroids". It is more stable than a Mojo and demands little bit more if you wanna get most out of bike. One thing is sure; it´s truly have a potential. I do not regret my choice to go with HD. It is also sure that there will a lot riders who prefers Mojo or Mojo SL for their riding. ( I have never ridden an SL, so cannot comment much on that).

Br
MPI !

MPI, about the RP23XV, do you think a DHX-A should be considered then?

And can you say the HD can be complementary to the SL? I was considering selling the SL and go HD all the way, but after your comments I'm considering keeping it and get the HD right away.

And could you show a closer pic of the rear brake route near the upper link?

Thanks!

Looks Awesome! How does it handle with the 170mm Lyrik DH?

I'm trying to find a Coil U-turn and install the DH damper in it, but the U-turns are really hard to find right now. I'm not sure what route I will go if I can't get one.

.
Pretty well. I had a regular mojo last year and have been riding my SS 29er all spring so the handling seems dramatically different to me. It felt a little floppy, but I think that will be overcome quickly as I get used to the bike.

Good to hear! I finally got a coil U-turn coming and will have the DH Damper put in for the ultimate all mountain machine. I'll post pics when I have it built up next week.

If you're one of the lucky few who've received an HD, the custom MRP/Ibis Mini G chainguide is now in the store, right about here.
We don't have a retrofit kit for the Mojo and Mojo SL yet, but we are working on it. Sorry, no ETA yet.
Once things settle down a bit, we're also hoping to have some dual ring and other chainguide availability info.

When is somebody going to design a guide for three-ring bikes? They are definitely needed, I wasn't happy at all about giving up the big ring for the bash but had no real choice, the chain kept coming off on the downs. Now I just spin out and coast.:madman:
