updated hd 2011

she is about a year old, got her in August last year, this bike has been great in the 150/140 air config, 180/160 van rc4, and now it is more awesome with a fox 34 and the coil rc4 on xtr paired with the carbon havens. this bike is great.

crlavoie - I've been running my Mojo with loads of different 1x10 set up to find what works the best for me. Trying to loose the lower guide roller and just use a Shadow Plus and upper guide.

I now run a direct mount eThirteen top guide, a Renthal chainring, Wipperman chain and XTR Shadow Plus mech. Never drops.

Other configs have not been that good, eThirteen rings, Shimano/Sram/KMC chains all drop. The combination of the slightly longer cog teeth on the Renthal with the higher walls on the Wipperman chain play a factor.

Whoa, you're using crossmark on an HD ? I had one on my regular Mojo back wheel (would never use one in front) and while they roll really good, their traction was pretty bad to me so I replaced it pretty quickly. the LUST version were really heavy too for the size - I'm much happier with regular Ground Control 2.3 mounted tubeless in the rear on my HD (lighter and much bigger volume with good grip thread pattern).

the HD is not a XC bike... interesting choice you made.

Would any of you folks know what the Pantone colour code for both matt and gloss? I've got the Vitamin P on order and I'm hunting down some coloured stickers - just need to buy the right ones. Cheers.

Here's mine. I'll only list the "highlights" caus' there's some pretty old parts on her...

KS Lev
Float RP23 CTD
2009 36 TALAS RC2
King hubs and headset
2012 XT brakes
Saint rear derailleur
gearing is 11-34 cassette, 26-32 front currently but will be moving to 2x10 with a zee derailleur and 11-36 cassette soon.
Wheels are WTB i23, setup tubeless, Hans Dampf front and 2.2 Special-ed Purgatory rear

Got her in the beginning of August and I've got about 5 ride on her. She's breathtaking! We were about to start a ride that would be half in the dark so she was adorned with some lights too.

Here is mine on my first ride...coming from a GT Force with the exact same build I can say that DW Link rules!!! WOW what a fun bike. I built it up in 140 mode so I did not have to buy anew fork and I thought coming from a bike with 150mm rear travel would leave me wanting to put the longer shock back on and buy a new fork, but so far I am very pleased!

I am going to have to sell my KS 150 Supernatural post and go with a 125 (probably LEV) because this one is just too long for me on this frame. Keep an eye out in the classifieds if you are in need of one.

28.2 lbs as pictured.

Flip it?

Why are you running your shock oriented back to front like that?

that's the way it came from the shop. It's been flipped since that pic was taken. tbh, I found it easier to reach the dials that way, but it's no big deal, and not worth the hassle of flipping it back.

oh, and some updates already! I have a Zee SS derailleur on the way, a saint shifter, and an 11-36 cassette on the way. I'm looking forward to trying it out 1x10, and to see how much of a difference the clutch will make on the deraileur. I also had to install my WTB Moto on the rear because I somehow managed to slash my (almost new) Spec Purgatory going off a drop... These bikes... they're a never-ending money pit....:madmax:

My 1st Ibis! Got a few rides in on it this week; wow, by far my best bike yet. I have been a devout Yeti rider for years ('06 575, '10 ASR5C, '11 575, '11 Big Top). Sold all my remaining Yeti's and built up an HD. Compared to the 575 the HD climbs better, descends with more confidence, and even carves turns better. Another bonus is the rear swingarm doesn't clog with leaves like the 575 did.

Really enjoying the size large; it has nearly identical geometry to my size medium 575. I'm 5'8" with a 32" inseam (measured according Competitive Cyclist fit calculator) and the large is definitely the correct size for me with a 70mm stem.

I got the frame from Fanatik Bikes; they were awesome in getting it to me quick with free shipping and even included the downtube protector at no extra.

The BOS Deville fork is also incredible! Very happy I went with it over a Fox Float. The Deville is plush and I've been able to utilize 95% of the travel each ride; that never happened with my Float 150. It's doesn't pack down and dive in the turns like my Float 150 either. It also has high speed compression adjustment which the Fox Floats do not. I got the Deville with TRC and though I didn't think I'd use the TRC, I actually find it very useful for long climbs and especially on fire roads. I followed aappling72's lead and picked up the Deville from bikeinsel.com.

I'll also be swapping out the Deville and RP23 occasionally with my Float 150 and Fox RL to run it in HD 140 mode for long xc rides. Love the versatility!

Hi

I'm from Portugal and I have a Mountain Cycle San Andreas DNA with a Marzocchi 66 sl ata (180-140mm) in front and dhx 5 air 170mm rear travel, which weights 13,4kg. Normally when I go out I do 60/70 km per ride, sometimes 100 km. My type of riding include XC trails and enduro trails with some steep climbs. Adjusting the travel fork to 140mm, it's easier than....

Now I have bought a new 2010 s-works enduro frame and have some doubts about which fork choose. I want to put the Enduro as light as possible, optimazing the relaction climbing/downhilling, making it the best "all-rounder" or "do everything".

I'm marzocchi fan, so I was thinking in 55 micro switch ta with 160-120mm, but it weighs 2380g. I step on in your post and see you have 2 Bos Deville and I love it how it looks and it weighs. Resuming my questions are the following:

1)What is your opinion about the TRC in the Deville 160? It works?

2)With TRC ON, in a steep climbing the Enduro with the Deville 160 tends to lift the front while pedalling?

3)Can the TRC do a similiar work or the travel adjustment of marzocchi is better?

4)Do you still recommend the Deville?

5)Did you have any problem with them? What i have heard about the aftersales assistance is not very good.

Sorry to bore you with my bad English, but i need to solve this "dilema".

Best Regards

And a move from Haven bar/stem to Havoc/Thompson

I also updated my Formula's to XTR Trail brakes as well. No pictures yet of the brakes. Also went from a 135 to a 142 rear end due to a brake post issue that Ibis took care of. Makes changing wheels much easier.
