It is a Blackspire Stinger guide, works well and it's cheap ($25). I've used this on a few of my bikes and also have one on my 5 Spot and I've been very happy with them.
I want to use a stinger on my new HD as well but I've had two different bike mechanics tell me it wont work with the bike, whats the issue other than hitting it with a log over etc..
is there a specific chain ring set up ? I am using 2 rings at the moment.:skep:

Go 55s, ditch the Floats...

My new HD build. Bike is awesome and has surpassed every expectation. Fox fork, not so much. Thinking about going Marz 55.

Build is 27.8 lbs as it sits with pedals.

HD Size Lg
Fox Float 36
RS Reverb
9 Spd XTR drivetrain
Formula The One Brakes
Easton Carbon Haven bars
Haven Stem
Carbon Haven wheels
I too was VERY unhappy with the Float 36 Kashimas, especially with all the hype and the HUGE price. I sold mine after weeks of "letting the forks bed in" and "dialling the settings" and since I've been shredding some 55 RC3 Ti's for last few months and they are nothing short of SUPERB. The Floats were simply a poor fork in comparison. Swallow the extra pound (just less than) and enjoy the butter feel of Ti coil... Hunt hard and you'll find a bargain as well and get some $$ back for other bling :)

I'm 6' 2" (long arms and torso) and demoed both an XL/50mm stem and a L/70mm stem. Fit is pretty close and I rode both for a couple of days happily. I went with the XL because I liked the handling with the taller front end and longer wheelbase on the downs. L was more fun in singletrack as it was crazy flickable. You can get away with either depending on what you are looking for. Came from Large Blurs, Nomads and Slayers which all have small cockpits so it also depends on what you are used to. Personally would suggest a XL and run a short stem and wide bars.

Great, balanced bike. Very pleased. 4 out of 5 stars - pivots creak. Why? Everything is tight.

Mojo creaks can be very hard to trace because the sound carries and amplifies in the carbon frame. Look for something a bit loose (brake, derailleur hanger, axle, bb, headset...) The links don't creak even when worn out. -good luck, nice bike!

Thanks for the tips on the creaking. I will check it all out. I know it is not the Maxle, I've checked that. Will follow up if it ends up not being the pivots. I don't want to perpetuate any fiction if it doesn't turn out to be the pivots.
