A jet like the Mojo 3 deserves it's own Picture and Build thread, WHOOT WHOOT!

My build is pretty much an XO1 Werx. I've been running it as a 27.5+ and have posted a review of it for ya!

Special Blend

Just had a small special blend built up for my son. The only changes to the special blend components are XT brakes pulled off his previous bike and upgraded shock to get teh Roxy tune for his 100 pound ride weight. The rear brake hose was too short to run through the frame so it's zip tied until the hose kit comes in. The final build weight was 27.5 pounds on the park tool shop scale with NN 2.35 tires and Canfield Ceampon pedals,

Yeah a little tricky when lowering the post back in especially when the housing doesn't slide real well between the down tube and the seat tube. Might work better to actually leave to cable/frame inserts loose while lowering it and fastening them in place once done. It was much easier on my Rocky Mountain and only took a few minutes.

I went in to discuss ordering a new bike that I wanted to have before September 8th for a road trip to Colorado I'm doing.

Instead of ordering it, they built it out of the two bikes they had in stock. So, a couple of hours later, I'm picking it up at 5:30, and riding on the trail at 6:45.

Size: Large Mojo 3, carbon matte, aka The New Black
Brakes: XTR brakes, XT discs, 180mm/160mm F/R
Crank: RaceFace something or other (from the XT build)
Front Ring: 30t RaceFace
Wheels: Easton ARC 30 with Ibis hubs
Tires: Nobby Nic 2.8, 18 PSI F/R.
Bars: Ibis Carbon 760mm, 20mm rise
Cassette: Shimano 11-46
Derailleur: Shimano XT
Seat: Ergon SME
Dropper: KS Lev 150mm internal with Southpaw trigger
Grips: Logo bike shop ones, lock on. Lizard Skin sourced I think.
Fork: Pike 140 27.5+ boost.

The first ride went well, except I forgot to bed the brakes in first. That first part of significant downhill trail was interesting. The dropper was a bit balky so maybe the cable length needs adjustment or it's just "new" sticky. I'll know more when I'm on trails in daylight since most of the interesting trail I rode downhill last night was the first time in the dark on them. I've been on them a lot of times in daylight though.

I can say this already. I really really like this bike. It rides over things as well as my Ripley, it doesn't seem to give up anything in climbing trails and beats it in traction getting up and over things. Going downhill is going to take some adjustments but it seems to roll out of things that I had "oh sh!t" concerns as I did them. The slack head angle plus short chainstays really makes it nimble while the length and plus tires makes it very stable. Those are excellent qualities to have!

"The dropper was a bit balky so maybe the cable length needs adjustment or it's just "new" sticky. "

My KS Lev post that came stock was sticky form the get-go. It went TU after ~4 months of use, so I replaced it with a Fox Transfer post and it has been awesome. If you have the choice, I'd suggest avoiding the KS as I'm not the only one that has experienced the stickiness.

Not sure why you are against running anything hydraulic internally, but I have to say the Rockshox reverb with the connectamajig is the easiest dropper post to put on the Ibis. The connectamajig is the ticket and avoids having to bleed. Just use the Ibis hydraulic covers and it is so easy. Takes about 5 min total with the longest time being screwing the 3 ports in. Shortening the hose at the lever is super easy and can be done without bleeding.
