You should try it, the bike pedals even better. There's a reason they spec'd an adjustable shock.

How well do you think it go over with the general public if they sold a $3000 frame with a $150 non adjustable shock ;) I must confess I did play around with the shock platforms when the bike was new and I will stick to my original statement at least for myself I see no need to not run it wide open. P.S. I run now run a Topaz on mine, much better shock.

Has anyone entertained the thought of changing their shock to a push 11.6?

Yes, I even e-mailed Push Industries and asked about it. Here is my e-mail exchange (word-for-word) with them:

Me: "Hi guys, Just wondering if there are any plans for the foreseeable future to offer the ElevenSix shock for the Ibis Mojo 3? Cheers! Peter"

Answer: Hi Peter, Thank you for your email.Unfortunately, we have tested out that frame and the leverage characteristics do not work well with a coil shock. I highly recommend against a coil on that frame.

Boo. Lol. Thx for the reply. The M3 works incredibly well so far. If anything, I'd wish the seat tube allowed a longer dropper. It looks like it can but it narrows slightly towards the bottom.

Came home from Germany to a big box! Pieced together my budget build M3 this afternoon and took it for a little spin. Lets see how long I can ride it like this before I start upgrading the sh!t out of it haha... Sram Level brakes first on the chopping block...

So I am looking to upgrade the Front Fork of my M3. Currently I am running a Fox 34 Performance but have already had to send it back to Fox for warranty with an annoying creak.

I have always been lusting after a Pike and I found a Deal on a never used Pike RC 150 Boost that someone wants to sell me off their Trek Remedy 9.8. I am pretty sure this will work on my bike but just wanted to check to make sure the offsets of the Pike and Fox were the same. I saw on the Ibis website that they sell the Mojo with a Pike RCT3 option with a 44 mm offset but I cannot find the offset of the regular RC fork. Does anyone know if this RC Pike has the same offset for the Boost 27.5 version of the Fork?

As long as it's a standard 27.5 the offset will be the same for the RCT3 and RC. Word of warning though I was not at all happy with the clearance running 2.8's and a boost Pike (top of tire to the arch) if you are running 2.8's that is.

Looks fantastic! You're gonna love it. Even after nearly 600 miles on mine since November, it puts a smile on my face every time, and I'm constantly astounded by the versatility and capability of this bike! Congrats!

I'm thinking about upgrading my NX parts to something else. Haven't made up my mind between SRAM or Shimano yet. What size parts do I need to be looking for, mostly the crank stuff? Is it a boost crank? Is that a size? Crank arm length, my frame is an XL and not sure what it came with.

Get a full XT kit off Chain Reaction for about $350. Can't beat that.

This one? Will that crank work on the Mojo3? That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. I already have the XT brakes. I've never tried Shimano mountain biking stuff. Does it have the clutch in the derailleur like the SRAM stuff uses? I can't go back to chain slap.

it will work just fine but i'm not sure there is good chain stay clearance for the 34t chain ring though. Based on the photo the rear derailleur do have the clutch.

Question: I have got a Mojo 3 and I want to run it 27,5+. Looking for a fork for this but which Fox fork will fit? Should I buy the 27,5+ fork with Axle to Crown 545,5 mm of the Fox fork 27,5 with Axle to Crown 529,1 mm? Can I ride 2,8inch on both forks?

The regular Fox 34 boost 27.5 is what Ibis fits to their complete builds, and will easily fit a 2.8 DHF on a Nox Kitsuma (i36).
