The Mezzer Pro sounds like a great fork so that wasn't a difficult choice. The Mara Pro mainly to have the same brand which is a bit shallow.

The only downside I can see with Manitou in the UK is the lack of distribution but I don't think that's a problem in Germany.
Hayes Europe distribution is in Germany. I'd expect they're working towards a new Manitou distributor for the UK. There's a new Hayes brake distributor appointed recently.

I have both Mezzer and Mara Pro.... Parts are easily sourceable from 2 online stores in europe.
Ison Distribution Ltd in Ely are starting to sell Hayes brakes so I'd wonder if they'll list Manitou:unsure:

I have bought from German shops if I couldn't find in UK, captured a secondhand Mara il (230x65) on ebayUK(y)

forgot to add...

Athertonbikes are offering bikes with Hayes Dominion brakes so they can source parts, I might wonder if Manitou may be offered in the future?

Sweet, I just bought one. The 210x55 comes with the "short" reservoir, do you know if it will clear the upper link on a Santa Cruz Hightower2?

The above is the leverage curve, should I go with standard or king can? I've got both links, but have been using the stock one lately. Overall I'd like to get the most linear feel possible.

Looks like it should clear but I haven't got any direct experience to confirm.
Your shock comes with the King-Can. Run that at mid volume first.

Oh okay, I thought the King-Can was only sold separately.

I'd like to avoid running into the issues I had with the MegNeg, very high pressure to get a reasonable sag (frequency) plus the frame progression made it impossible to use more than 60-65% of the travel. Sure, the initial part of the stroke was very supple but it ramped up too much too quickly.

Guarantee You won't have the Meg-Neg issues.

Is the Mara Pro compatible with Fox’s 5 piece shock hardware?
Yes, unless you get one with the hole diameter just a hair larger than the Fox bushings like mine. If so, the green bushings from shockcraft will fix that issue (just use the rest of the bits from the Fox kit).

I ended up with the RWC bearing kit on one end. It wasn't quite press fit, but has been slop free so far.

3d printing stuff like that ever gave you good results? Durability at high pressures and exposed to oil/grease makes me doubt.
Never had a problem with grease/oil. But previous PETG spacers turned brittle after being run in an air can. These weren't volume spacers so were actively stressed. It happened several times with stronger and stronger designs.

Air shocks can get quite hot, maybe that degrades the part over time?
