Awaiting some brakes. I had to put the ones I had for build on my xc bike that were acting up.
But yeah the color is awesome very different than what I assumed from the looking on their site. 

Update

Got a set of brakes.? Got build done last night up to the dropper post then realized I had a 30.9 post, needed a 31.6! Ugh. Got a sp reducer shim today. Thought all was good. Then realized I needed an adapter barrel to accept the small head of the dropper cable slot to the dropper actuator thangy. Another ugh...hope to round up tomorrow...

Anyway, coming from some more xc type setups, surprised by the weight of this frame setup with the DPX piggyback shock thang and all that this might be considered more of an "all mtn" type rig even though it's a 130/140(possibly 150 fork if so desired?)setup. I imagine with the right tyres and suspension setup an aggressive "lightweight" rider such as myself could tackle some descent routes given that some DH guy with "skillz" named "Phil" has moved onto one of these from his 27.5 Force!

Looking forward to putting this thing to the test on some dirt over the weekend!

As long as it's not too crazy rough it's all about geo. The sensor could easily ride any trail at my local bike park Snow Summit.

First break-in outing

Sure is purdee in the sun. So glad it isn't the burnt pumpkin colour on the '19.

Rear suspension felt pretty composed more so than my V1 Ripley to a point I could easily see switcing the 140 34 Perf Elite over to a 36. Still have to do some adjusting on shock as I've never had a piggyback reservoir type.

Build came in at ~31#'s was hoping the weight would've been sub 30 as it's a small frame with e13 carbon cranks, TRS race alloy wheels, Vittoria Martello/Aguarro tires, xx1/xo1 drivetrain and xtr trail pedals. Only thing to upgrade with max investment minimal gains would be carbon wheels(-~50 grams over the alloy) and bars.

Wow that looks amazing. Is the gt gray also metallic? Or is it a solid color?

I wouldn't worry about shaving any mote weight either. Counting grams only hurts on the decents.

Yeah it's silver. Glad since I thought it was going to be white. Color is pretty cool sortof like if Cherry Coke and Rootbeer had a metalic baby!

So i am trying with putting on a 185x55 shock. Someone earlier said it would fit but did not mention travel. Im guessing 140mm perhaps. Im also thinking about testing a 150mm fork. Im hoping to give an enduro race a try next season and the Sensor is the weapon of choice or its all i have lol 🙂

Anyone run their Sensor as a mullet? Both sets of my e13 wheelsets are 27 ID's. Too narrow for + tyres, probly go 2.4/2.5's not sure how much of a bb drop I'd end up with with pedal strikes.

Haven't' but imagine if you put it in the high bb setting and ran the 275 rear with standard 2.4 you would be fine. Try it!

I'd say they are an ideal mullet bike with the flip chip.I notice that Ews martin maes and wyn masters are running the force 27.5 in mullet with a 150 fork but both seem to run in the low flip chip setting.

Yeah 275 running a 29 wheel up front seems to work better than dropping down to a 275 rear on a 29 bike. Mine's on the high setting now and noticed some strikes (tho few)with full 29 setup. Just have to borrow a tire and try it out!

Calculations would say around 143,but it could be more with the arc,i will try measure it at the weekend.Given that its the same chainstays as the force 27.5 and now has the same shock travel ,it should have 150mm rear.

Guys I started this thread to discuss mulleting the sensor. I even proposed gt made the angles and bb height specifically to mullet the bike for their athletes bc they knew it was faster. But mainstream retail buyers still aren't ready for the mullet.

Putting my money where my mouth is, I bought the sensor and mulleted it. It was good. Since then I bought a mullet decoy and the the recently dropped spesh status. IMHO mullets are ideal for sendy riders of average and below height. Borrow a wheel from another bike and try it.

I ran it stock, which was 130mm for the first year. I think that's the right height for a mullet on this bike.
