Is anyone knowledgeable about frames sold on eBay that are branded Jessica and Twitter? Any experience w/these? Any idea what factories produce the two brands?

Here are two examples of what I'm talking about: Jessica and Twitter.

Curious whether anyone has any direct experience or knowledge.

"Fasion Designed by Jessica" looks like it'd have a pretty terrible ride quality with those large diameter seatstays.

Can you say "rattling internal routing" on the Twitter frame?

At least the Twitter frame uses full length housing. Wouldn't touch the Jessica frame with that exposed under-the-bb road bike cable routing.

No thanks.

Can you guys find something better for that price? It actually looks alright.

I used to do quite a bit of import business with bike "factories" in taiwan. Its often not worth trying to hunt down who the factory is. X-factory will do a big run of parts for a supplier at a certain price point and quality.

You can work with two suppliers, both who source from the exact same factory and sell what seems like the same part, and the quality will be different between the two suppliers.

People used to comment that giant and kinesis made all these bikes for these suppliers so it didnt matter, but thats not really how it goes over there.

The factories are nameless, faceless and egoless. They can make both high quality and low quality stuff, depending on whats asked for.

They obviously rebadge stuff too, but its still a little bit different than how we do it in the US, where companies literally just install a sticker.

those jessica bikes are ok , they are not top of the line nor the worse , they are disc brake only lack the ability to mount a rack and the derailleur hanger is garbage and the head set is too big , mine came with the adapter to fit 44mm rock shocks . as an ebike on the road (not on the trail) its ok , i wouldnt trust this frame on a rough trail , it doesnt seem very durable . cheap $100 worth the price , what did you expect?
i been using a jessica as a mid drive ebike and it does great but wouldnt handle the torque of the rear wheel 500watt 36v kit , after a while it wouldnt stay on , too much torque even with a torque arm. if you want to build a low cost bike with disc bake then this will do just fine. otherwise shoot for higher standards .

Hey, thanks for the response. Been awhile since I posted the question. I ended up buying a low-end Cannondale frame, and the kid and I built that one together. Got the frame off eBay from a dealer who apparently had been stripping some older bikes and selling them as parts.

Do not buy.

I purchased direct from China Jan 2023 through A/express which is where it will no doubt be shipped from.

This bike and the components were good. Nice and light and responsive but the durability and customer service afterwards has been horrible.

The bike had NEVER been ridden on mountain trails only ever paved surfaces - on average 30km per week.

The frame as you can see with the cracks did not hold up longer than 12 months.

Twitter asked me to strip the bike and return to them in China. I was under the expectation a full refund or replacement would be offered.

All that was offered was to repair or replace the frame. Shipping it back to Australia would be at my expense on top of, the cost of stripping the bike, shipping back to them and having the bike put back together again.

DO NOT BUY
