I here ya.

I've discovered up to 75% of my capacity is enjoyable. The last 25% is not that much fun. That's probably around that 4 hour mark of non stop riding. I can go longer with breaks and food. But when i'm groveling in that last 25% its getting pretty marginal fun wise and at the some point in that bottom 25% its just survive and get the fvck home.
You doing the Whaka? And if not, what about the eastern spice super d they will have on Friday?

How are you guys getting your average? Are you actually averaging real data or just taking a guess? I just averaged all my rides from Garmin and came out with an average of 1000 foot for total descent, but this data contains a bunch of rides I do around my neighborhood on flat ground just to grab some groceries or ride a mile with my kids. I'm too lazy to pull out my mountain bike rides separately on their own. I'd guess it's around 2000 on average for actual MTB rides

Just averaged my last 10 rides and came out with 1414ft of vertical and 15.78 miles.

Half the rides were mostly gravel as I prepared for and completed a bike packing trip, 50lb+ loaded bicycle.

That's 431m and 25.4km for those that don't measure in goofy measurement systems.

@nwberm , I left out my greenway/road rides and averaged mtb rides on my Strava.

This is me as well. My longer rides might be a little lower at the low end and a little higher at the high end. I aint no Spring Chicken. My regular days of 3K-5K are over. I actually enjoy my quickies most of all at this time because they energize me for the rest of the day.

Hell, I thought most of you guys were just a bunch of beer drinking couch potatoes. Im impressed gentlemen!
