Just picked up my nude carbon large HD on Friday, after a 3 month wait. It's a beautiful beast. Too bad it's too damn cold to ride.
Looking for some guidance on shock setup. According to the Ibis setup guide for the Mojo and SL (found here: http://www.ibiscycles.com/images/uploads/wygwam/Mojo_Setup_Guide_08.pdf ; could not find one for the HD ), each bike should be shipped with a shock tuning guide. I didn't get one with the bike (nor any other manuals or documentation at all, which I have to say seemed odd), but assume it would be the same as the info available on the Fox website?
Fox suggests starting with 25% sag for typical XC/trail riding, which would be .625in for the 2.5in travel HD shock. Fox also suggests using the same % sag for the both the fork and shock, which would be 40mm (1.57in) for the 160mm fork at 25%. Does this sound right?
Also, any advice on a shock pump? Last time I bought a complete FS bike (way back in 2000), it came with one. I asked and the dealer said they don't come with pumps any more.
