It is somewhat surprising that this shock hasn't received much, if any attention here. All in all, it looks like a solid performer which combines the best of both the Arma v3 and Storia v3 shocks.

Some of most notable features are:
  • HBC adjustment as in the Arma v3 shock.
  • Lok 2.0 lockout/pedal platform lever.
  • Steel shaft adds durability and chrome plating can decrease friction. It's been long used in motorsport applications.
  • Wider adjustment range - a plus on everyones book.
  • Standard or Trunnion mount, option for spherical bearings on a later production run (supposedly).
  • Pricing is similar to previous EXT's shocks.
Available sizes in standard eyelet are 210x50-55mm and 230x57.5-65mm. The Trunnion mount variants include 180x50-55mm and 205x57.5-65mm sizes.

Deliveries should begin in September 2021.

Although, it's made for e-bikes, there's no reason why not to run it an oat-powered bike.

More information can be found on EXT's site.

Are you folks only running them on e-bikes?

Looks like a great shock for "normal" bikes that eat coil shocks, or have heavier riders on them, or have space limitations for the reservoir (aka current Demo).

I really like the combo of 'climb switch" and externally adjustable HBO. Also the fact it has a coil negative spring.
The Storia does like to top out if you run even a touch of spring preload, or a heavy spring in general.

Got mine two weeks ago. Put it on a V1 Ripmo. While coils are I’ll advised for this frame, the hydraulic bottom out works beautifully. Caution: you can crank it up such that it feels like you were hitting a wall at 85% travel. I was running too much initially, and backing it out really makes it bottom quite unnoticeably.
The traction is amazing both in the corners and on technical climbs. I find it very plush at 27% sag, but don’t have any other coil shocks to compare it too. It puts my Zeb with Smashpot to shame, particularly outshining it for medium sized hits at 10 to 15 mph. It makes me wish for a coil Era. It is quite heavy, at 880 grams with 600 lbs/in spring and 210x55 dimensions (sorry for mixing units, lazy). I was a little worried about noise, given reports of their other shocks, but I was relieved to find mine sounds like a polite egg shaker through the chunder.

Seems EXT also implemented the coil negative spring to the E-Storia, which thus far has only been found on the Geometron's EXT Storia shock, that's a neat feature. Makes quite a difference on the trail.

That in combination with the adjustable HBC and (hopefully?) a wider rebound adjustment range (the analog Storia's adjustment range is very, very narrow so getting the correct tune is crucial), I think they made the stock Storia obsolete.

All in all, it seems like a good upgrade compared to the regular Storia. If they just would have left the "E-" out from the name, ugh...

Looks like the e-Storia isn't much heavier than the v3 Storia? Can't find an apples to apples weight comparison.

Anyways, all welcome improvements it sounds like, but honestly nothing that I'd need changed on my Storia.

80 grams I gather (asked the same question to a guy selling EXT shocks, so he weighted a 210x52.5 Storia V3 and eStoria at 394 and 473 grams respectively.

can you elaborate? I've ridden both as well and would like to compare my experiences
Well, its not an entirely fair comparison because the 11-6 was tuned to suit my requirements and is set up for natural steep tech with a buttery tune and 375lb spring. The Arma was a second hand purchase so its not tuned to me. Plus it runs a 400lb spring for bike park riding.

The 11-6 just feels perfect for me. Its like it was built just for me.... and it was.

The Arma is harsher than the 11-6, primarily because it has a harder spring and isnt tune for my bike or me.
I do like the hbc. It can take big hits with ease. Better than the 11-6.

One day I will get the Arma custome duned. Then it will be a lot fairer comparison.
