Just out of curiosity. Is this mostly an ebike thing, or a shimano thing? Do ebikes not rotate the chain backwards when you backpedal? Or is there some version of shimano cranks that do that?

E-bike chains do not rotate backwards when you back pedal. A simple zip tie does the same thing as this tool. Zip tie around the crank and one spider arm. Done.
