A couple questions:

DT SWISS CUSTOM EX1700 30MM - what’s everyone’s impressions on this wheelset?

The way I view the world, I can ride this wheel if it’s FINE and eventually take them off and replace with a carbon set.

Or if they are not fine I can take them off before I ride the bike and HOPEFULLY sell them for $350+ and use that money towards carbon wheels on day 1.

So would love honest opinions.

Second issue:

Has anyone ridden the E*Thirteen LG1 Race Carbon Enduro Wheel? What’s your thoughts on the wheel and hub?

Couldn't find the EX1700 but the E1700 seems like a middle of the road alloy set that would suit your average rider. E1700 also has DT 350 hubs which are a proven design.

E*Thirteen I have mixed feelings on their products. I have used their chain guides, cassettes & wheel sets - some have had slight design or durability issues. My current wheelset is a Carbon w/ TRS Race carbon tubed hubs. Years ago their hubs had a bad reputation for bearing failures but a season on my current hubs have been problem free. One of my major gripes is the spoke diameter (Quad butted) and 28 hole count - they can make some noise under heavy loads. Pro's Closet has a killer deal on their wheelsets :
