Hi all,

Trying to find some info on the DT Swiss "Spline" hubs (Straight Pull). Some say they are 350's and others state 340's.

I am trying to order some spokes and the "Spline" hub is not listed on the spoke length calculator. When I ran the calculations for the 350's and 240's the spoke lengths were identical.

Would it be safe to assume the "Spline" hubs have the same dimensions?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for all the replys. The wheels are the M1700 Spline 2 with ratchet internals. Per Intense Cycles website the hubs are 340's but that doesn't sound right to me. I checked DT's site and couldn't find anything.

The 240's and 350's do have the same external dimensions and the Spline hubs look very similar.
Back in the mid 2000's DT had the 190/240/340/440FR/540 Tandem

We all know the 240. The 190 was lighter and sported ceramic bearings. The 340 was what the 350 is now, just less refined as the 240. The 440FR was an oversided freeride hub. The 540 is a an overbuilt hub for tandems.

The 340's were heavier than the 240's, but were able to convert to different axles. Ran the ratchets as well.

If you check the specs on DT's website, you'll see some SPLINE wheels use the 240/350 ratchet freehub, some use a 3 pawl freehub. The three pawl freehub is cheaper and only has ~16 points of engagement. Both the ratchet and the pawl freehubs remove by hand and have the same axle end kits.

It's probably from a few years ago when they referred to their XM1501 as "Spline One" and their M1700 as "Spline Two". They dropped that naming convention, but the 1700s were just based on the 350 hubs from what I remember

DT swiss usa customer support is great and they can tell you exactly what you have if you give them a serial #
