Just curious if it matters...do you leave your dropper post up or down when not riding? Is it better (mechanically, on the post) to keep in one position vs the other? My gut says up

My balls say down.
 
I usually leave it up but its been left in the down position as well. I've left it in the down position for two weeks once (vacation). When I got back, it popped right up as it should.
 
Down. I would have thought up, but the lit with Command Post says down, I forget why. I think to 'protect the post from incident or something.
My brain says up, less pressure on seals.
 
Up less pressure on seals. 6 years stored in the UP position without a problem.
 
Whichever spot it was in when I get back to my truck. I've honestly never worried about it. The only time I did was when I was coming back to Utah from Oregon -- I made sure to leave it up to account for the elevation increases. 3 yrs, no problems so far on my CommandPost.
