Does anyone know anything or have experiences with bikes online?

I can't get a solid review. PLZ HELP!

There have been a few reviews on here about bikes coming new from bikesonline with deep scratches, things bent up. These aren't deal breakers necessarily but expect to go over your bike to tighten stuff up and expect almost no support if something is wrong with the bike.

I'm not currently looking for a bike but I think I'll pass next time. My last new bike I got from Chain Reaction and I can't say enough good things about them.

I ordered two hard tails from them last year for the kids. Solid bikes for the money. There are lots of YouTube reviews of their various offerings, and they are better spec’s in terms of components than comparably priced bikes from your LBS. That said, their frames are a bit heavier, and you won’t get the same level of support. Also, there are currently shipping delays of 2 weeks to 4 months depending on size and model.

Think its over 4 months now. Last email said they had Covid outbreak in their wearhouse. Do the bikes get shipped to Australia in Polygon boxes then reboxed and shipped to California in bikesonline boxes?

If they have a COVID outbreak and can't ship anything they should be refunding money. But nope....dey keeps yer money.

Siskiu T8 delivered today and I was pretty impressed with how it was packaged. Mostly assembled, had to connect the dropper to the cable, attach the bar and pedals and attach the dropper lever to the bars. Includes a small pedal wrench and a torque wrench with a selection of bits. The included pedals are pretty nice for ‘freebies’, aluminium with hex pins.

The various pieces were all attached securely to the frame reusable Velcro straps with foam pads to protect finishes.

Ordered the T8 from Bikesonline back in mid-December. Estimated shipping date was initially March 2nd. Received it February 3rd. Dropper post clamp was bent enough that I could not get it attached to the bike. Reached out to Bikesonline and they sent a replacement out within the week. Pretty decent customer service. I would buy from them again.

But Fedex was a problem. They had indicated a signature was needed and I waited on the promised delivery date and it never came. It came the next day and was just dropped at my door, no signature requested. Hope Fedex get's their crap together (or they will be absorbed by Amazon).

Enjoying the T-8, especially going downhill.

They’re very price competitive for what you get. Geometries are pretty decent compared to Bikes Direct bikes. The communication around ordering and delivery is very good as well.

However, I recently had a warranty issue with a brake caliper on a Strada 6 and BO customer service was a PITA to deal with. I sent their c/s multiple emails with pictures illustrating the failure of the caliper, and they kept asking for more, claiming Shimano wanted detailed pictures inside the caliper. It’s a $25 part so I call BS on that.

If you order from BO you can expect a halfway decent bike, but the warranty service is a pain to deal with. They don’t have enough profit margin on the lower end stuff to be warranting anything, so beware.

In their defense they don't offer any warranty, that comes from the manufacturers and BO is just the middleman. What gets annoying is if the manufacturer tells you to go through your dealer...
