might be a newb question but it's driving me insane:
On my stock 04 Rocky Mountain Flow:
Suppose I'm pedalling along and then leave both pedals stationary and coast for a while. When I turn the cranks again, there's this delay of about 1-2 inches, maybe a 1/200 of a full turn that just doesn't propell the bike at all.
I can turn the cranks forwards and backwards within these 2 inches and the tires just dont move.
Same thing happens after I backpedal; when I pedal forwards I get the same delay.
This is driving me insane; trackstanding is a tricky without applying breaks cause of this delay, and I dont feel "grounded" when I start up the bike for the first half second.
Is there a loose part? Is there some other part that I can buy to fix this? Maybe those things that increase chain tension?
It really feels like this problem just slowly crept up on me. I dont remember my bike being like this before. Maybe there's some sort of maintainence that I'm forgetting to do? I just cleaned and lubed my baby too!
Help!
Thanks a bunch bike Gurus.
