I got excited to see this posting in my in box, but when I went to purchase the bike, the pricing was over $1000 higher. The service manager blamed the marketing team and explained to me it wasn't his fault or concern. I wouldn't pay more for these bikes. The marketing team may have showed their hand.

Oh BS

they do honor pricing. it's just they change it often. I got a Grizl
on sale (~700 off) and 4 days after price went back to normal

today, now, CF 8 deal, CF 7 not so much

So don't buy them. They have the right to revoke any offer at any time until you complete the purchase. It's not even a bait and switch - I mean you lost what, 30 seconds by clicking on a link?

People make mistakes. Somebody probably screwed up, but they corrected it before they agreed to sell to you at that price. I think it's shitty to try and get one over on them because they made a mistake in advertising.

Show me on the doll where the bad bike company touched you.

They should at least own up and apologize that they made a mistake, e-mail everyone saying it was an error and here’s the actual prices

I’d be pissed too if I got an ad emailed to me that had fake prices, it’s clickbait. unsubscribe, post about their bait and switch on mtbr, and move on.

I would have most likely joined this forum and gone on about how good the bike was if Canyon sold me a bike for the advertised price on the day that the add dropped. I'm venting because they jerked me around on the pricing. $1000 is not being petty. I've reported the caynon marketing as spam, unsubscribed and I done with this bad noise.

Keep the rubber side down!

I think the Stealth Sale ended yesterday. I got a 5% extra off the stealth sale price coupon, but it didn't work when I went to check out. If it had, I would have bought the bike. I generally have had good luck with Canyon, this was the first "problem" I have run into with them

No, your fourth post would've been "Damn, this (fill in the blank) failed, Canyon says it's impact damage and won't warranty the (fill in the blank)! Now they're ghosting me "

my Canyon Grizl rocks, arrived in perfect condition, and it's beyond trail worthy*

*the only thing to deal with is watching for toe overlap when picking through chunder.

Consumer protection laws also extend to online advertisements. Depending on how far you want to push things they may be required to honor the price they emailed you and at the very least you could report them to the BBB. Many bikes have been discounted 40% as of late so it is not a "clear and obvious error." It may be worth another email to the manager stating you plan to complain to the BBB. He might be concerned then... might not.

Any company doing business in the US is subject to federal and local law. If they sell to a buyer in the US, they have to comply with the law where the buyer lives.

My guess though is they did nothing wrong. Most of these ads say the prices are subject to change without notice. Unless you can show some pattern or intent to mislead, I doubt you'd have a claim.
