You could get 2 3.5mm spacers to use. Or just get some custom end caps made.

 

Yes, you can space out 12x135. I've done this; the frame came with spacers (i.e., the manufacturer was ok with running it like that).

 

Curious with what frame company and frame it was? Do you still happen to have the spacers?

 

Yes, spacers are a safe way to go. The slots cut in 142x12 frames are meant for convenience / ease of installation, they do not bear load and are not a structural part of the drop out.

 

Does anyone know the outer diameter of the cutouts in the drop outs?

I know I will need 12mm ID, 3.5mm thick but I don't know how large the outer diameter needs to be.

 

washers would need to be 19mm OD, 12MM ID, 3.5mm thick.

 

I am spacing a 135 to 150mm using spacers supplied by Chris at MTBTools. Chris could knock up the spacers for you I am sure; he making my ones up.

Related to this I contacted White Industries re future availability of a 150mm front hub or if they are okay about spacing their 135mm hub. This is the response I received from Lynette at White Industries:

We don't offer a 150mm as of yet and the 135mm hub can't be converted. Sorry

Don't know if that means a 150mm hub is coming ...

Correct! You would have feed the axle thru one of them on the disk side before going into the hub and one on the other end before going into the frame.
