Broken MIPS connectors on Bell Sixer

While riding the other day I stopped for a quick break and as I went to remove my helmet it felt like it was suctioned to my head. I pulled a little harder and it came off but two of the little yellow "anchor straps" broke.

Helmet is only about 6 months old and has never been crashed or dropped.

Wondering what caused this to happen and if the yellow tabs can be replaced.

I had the same thing happen to me on my one-month old sixer after a crash. Even though the helmet was fine, (No noticeable scratches) Bell refused to warranty it and wouldn't send a replacement MIPS connector either. Instead, I had to buy a new helmet at a discount however. Those MIPS connectors are a weak link compared with other brands, and for the price we pay for their helmets, Bell has a long way to go to catch up with the competition when it comes to customer service and crash replacement policy.
