I ran one of the BB-mount ones for a while, it does its job keeping the chain on, but it does hang down far enough to hit logs and rocks too high to roll or jump over. Hit it hard enough and it'll slip and jam the chain against the chainstay. That made it a pain where I usually ride (we have lots of logs, not all of which I can jump over cleanly), so I took it off after a while. Too bad the Stinger and my log-hopping skill didn't mesh, it made a big difference in the fast and rough stuff.

it may be possible

You may be able to make it fit in the proper orientation if you modify it. My friend and I did this on his Tracer, which has almost identical suspension design. We replaced the stock pulley bolt with a flat-headed one, and countersunk the hole in the Stinger that it goes through so the bolt head was flush with the body of the Stinger, so the bolt no longer contacts the lower vpp pivot. Then we used a grinder to cut a big notch out of the Stinger body so it doesn't contact the BB pivot. therefore, we could rotate the stinger far enough counterclockwise to put in in a good position, ended up being just close enough to the chainstay so about a 1/4: gap between chain and chainstay. Works pwerfect. may or may not work on the blt but i suspect it will. Dont forget to put a bit of soft sticky-back velcro on the front end of the chainstay near the chain to protect it.

Cool mod. Any pics? Got things working pretty good as I swapped out my big ring for a bashguard and put a mid-cage rear derailleur on. Much quieter and the chain bounce isn't all that bad thanks to losing like 6 links on the chain. Next I am going to wrap the chainstay and part of the seatstay with old cut up tubes. Should quiet things down even more.
