Can anyone tell me the size specs since it seems I can't get one by itself?

Answered my own question. 5mm set screw from HD. LBS wanted to sell me a full rebuild kit.

Hi, Don;t suppose you remember which ones they were? I'm in the same unfortunate situation.

It's just the generic 5mm diameter set screw you'd get at any hardware store. My guess is the thread pitch is a standard one. I got the 8mm length which protruded a bit so you can go shorter.

Isn't there a tiny O-ring on the original factory screw?

Just watch out for a leak.

I've used some heat shrink tubing to mimic those tiny rubber seals.
