Where? City? Offerup is the first place to start followed closely by Facebook and CL.
Unfortunately, LA… i have search alerts set as well as use the mass CL / FB search engines to look. I am checking OfferUp but that is harder to get a nationwide search set if it is only listed as local. Thinking they haven’t listed it yet and are waiting a few weeks/months before they do... maybe one good thing about Craig’s long waitlist :p

Meanwhile my Mezzer with the hybrid is still in the box. Hoping to get to it when I get back from Mexico next week. And trying to get down to Bootleg Canyon for a shuttle day to really break it in properly. Fingers crossed I can make that happen the 16th and 17th

Seriously man, you can't leave us hanging like that. What's the story?
Not a great story. I have ring camera footage with a guy I haven’t seen before with a mask digging through two packages of mine in a locked apartment complex, posed as a cleaner. One package with a few hundred dollars worth of maxxis tires and bikeyoke dropper he left… but the tall long fork box was taken. In 3 years of living here haven’t had any issues, so just my luck it was for the fork/cartridge.

Randomly got a text from the building manager today that the cleaning lady found the missing package half opened, sitting at the top of some maintenance stairs going to the roof… I’ll take a miracle when i can! In the ring footage, the porch pirate seemed to be methodically looking for something in the packages so I guess he realized the fork wasn’t good enough for him… very very happy. Not sure if there is more to the story of how/why it was left there, but i won’t ask questions…

PSA to watch out for package thieves…

Wow, i have located/retrieved the fork.. i will fade back into the waiting list for a hybrid coil/air retune, and read recent reviews in this thread to pass the time :)
I am curious to hear what needs "retuning" in your case - I am assuming revalving and a different weight coil, unless you're also changing travel, and the ballpark figure of the cost of the updates.

Yes, retuning would be to change travel to 160mm and change the coil weight lighter, and change valving based on riding habits.. they have the whole type of rider, skill level, and bike it’s on that will dictate some of the decisions.

Per Craig, cost is anticipated to be somewhere between 180-279$ to change travel, coil, revalve.

That is the unfortunate part of the hybrid coil/air setup, not easy to change travel

Yea I don’t buy all the BS he posts about everything being ****. That said, I do prefer a higher stack, so this stem is ideal for me. It’s very stiff, but again, love the ride height. The Rifles are also really well done. He didn’t tune my fork (it’s Avalanche).

I like really short stems. But combining short & high stems and/ or high bar rise, for me personally, either of those features alone but especially when combined, has always reduced front wheel traction. Enough that it slows me down significantly in my typical loose/ sweeping/ flattish turns due to the reduced weight on the front end and resultant understeer.
What were your experiences with this stem with no other changes as I'm intrigued. Also did you buy or already own a sized up bike?
Thx

Not to derail the thread, but how are you liking the RRT setup with fork/mega short bar clamp? He says "no hype" a lot on his Insta, but hypes his product a lot; most of which goes against the grain of common bike stop. I'm intrigued with his ideas but curious how they plan out for others.
He has some interesting ideas, but I find him incredibly off putting.

Im usually on large bikes, but I opted for the S3 Levo as I was worried the S4 would be hard to maneuver given the extra weight. I now regret that decision, but the bike is still an absolute blast.

Should be Avalanching my *ss off by this Sunday if the weather permits and UPS delivers on time.

I fly nicely on my Smuggler and the suspension with a stock shock and a Mattoc fork feels amazing. However, in direct contrast to the Smuggler; my Relay, with the same shock on a very similar suspension design and a Mezzer Pro, feels mostly overwhelmed and all out of sorts at times. The extra 15#s (soon to be 16#s) weight of the e-bike and just that little bit of extra speed mostly on the climbs just makes the suspension feel pretty terrible. The shock feels harsh and like it ramps up much too hard whereas the stock Mezzer feels like butter but real 'dive-y', like it's much too active and not maintaining geo. Don't consider myself a suspension connoisseur or anything, don't twist tons of knobs, but when it's bad and I check several directions and even fairly large changes still feel like sh*t I just go to the 'shut up and ride the thing' state.

I tried to imagine if I could have only had the shock or the fork, which one would I choose and I can't say that I could. The stock shock has always felt terrible but the very smooth feeling stock Mezzer uses it's travel so freely that it might be more of a hindrance to my actual riding. Glad I don't have to choose and that I sprang for both 3 months ago.

Anyways, looking forward to trying the new front and rear Avy coil parts. It was a pretty large investment, so it was a commitment to stay on this bike for a few years (or at least the same suspension components), which I'm totally stoked on.

Credit to Craig for his thoroughness. He called me a few times to discuss specific details during the modification process and often into the evening.

I've found that suspension on either end can alter the feel of the other end. A shock that's too stiff or progressive can cause the front to use more travel, basically because the rear is not compressing but instead leveraging the fork into its travel. If the rear is too soft the front end will not want to use it's travel and lose small bump sensitivity. Balancing front and rear is more important than a lot of people realize.
