Anyone considering this product? If I'm honest with myself I just really dig the way it looks. And I would purchase it if it was just slightly better than what I currently have.

I'm aware the Edge had torsional flex issues with earlier versions which is inherent in USD MTB forks. However utilizing a 20 mm through axle clamped on both sides would have to increase rigidity dramatically. I mean that's how all motorcycles do it and those vehicles weigh much more and have more traction.

And then of course who knows about the damping circuit? Is it exceptional, is it average, is it below average? This is really the most important thing. Wish I could just drop my Avy cartridge into it. Who knows, that might be easier than anyone imagined.

The A2C is preferable on the Intend. Could run an extra 5mm of travel, or instead steepen the bike up slightly at the same travel which would suit me just fine.

I think from a stiction standpoint USD is clearly superior. This also makes the damping circuit even more critical as modern standard air forks get a decent amount of their damping from seal friction.

Weight of the Intend is on par, with my current fork with it's current mods. The location of the Intend's fork weight is preferable however as the heavier portion is at the crown for strength, instead of at the wheel end going up and down.

Currently I'm running a '19 Yari 160mm travel 42mm offset fork with Push low stiction seals & an Avalanche cartridge, which works very very well.

Thoughts or experience? Thanks.

I've got a flash and a Dorado. The dorado is notably more flexy than the Flash when doing the tire between the knees twist test. I wouldnt say its an unridable noodle, there are multiple people riding them quite well in the world cup. It is possble to occasionally twist it where you have to straighten it, but it is a good riding fork. I never noticed detremental flex while actually riding and I'm not light at 200lbs. The flash is no less stiff torsionally than a zeb/38, at least from my unscientific testing. Fore/aft it blows them out of the water. They are both great riding forks.

I wonder why intend dropped the triple crown, that was the one I wanted to try.
Did they? It still shows the Infinity on their website. And they showed off a new DH fork at eurobike recently.

Interesting that yours is opposite to what I'm feeling. Do you have an older Flash with the 20mm axle?

I wonder if the hub is also a factor. The DT 240 on my Flash is quite wimpy looking compared to the Erase hub on my dorado

The hub is definitely a factor. I rotate three wheels with three different hubs in the Essential and the difference in torsional stiffness is noticeable. Hubs that have a one-piece axle offer way more stiffness than ones with end caps, torque caps or not.

Finally got all the parts in order, and had the time to sort out the latest build - Not sure what the view is on E-bikes here, but i'll take my chances with posting some pics.

This bike will be used mainly during the winter months, when its wet, muddy - And when we get loads of snow (Northern scandinavia). I ride an XC bike 90% of the time otherwise, so I felt that this was a nice way to get an e-bike without it being powerful and heavy like a dirt-bike.

160mm Edge, and an Old hover, not an opt that I bought from a friend. Wanted a new hover, but still not available in 210x55mm

Thank you so much! Yeah I am really glad I managed to find a 2023 model. A store had it in stock with almost 50% discount, sold suspension, wheels, drive train, and used my own parts I had on the shelf, combined with some new parts. Color combo goes super well with the intend champagne also.

Yeah thats the latest info I got as well. But when I asked 6 weeks ago, they said 6 weeks. So not counting on anything. I am most likely getting a Stumpy 15 frameset to build a "non-electric" copy of this bike as well. I will most likely get the one-piece hover for that bike. Tune should be similar so I can swap/try it on both bikes.
