It's pretty cool. There's a notable difference in how the bike feels rolling into abrupt washes and coming down through chunky, rocky, downhills. The bike stays more composed and handles the hits better.

dumb question - based on the picture the bottom bearings are inset - wouldn't a basic headset with a taller bottom cup achieve the exact same thing and allow you to run a tapered fork?
Excellent remark !
I wanted to know if scepticshock or jzbig had check the new angle by hand ?

As I suppose you were running an external down cup at 67°, now it's flush with -1° ... so not really sure you get those 66° :???:

BUT ... you certainly dropped you BB by the way & lengthen your wheelbase.

I don't have my angle measuring do-hicky, but it is slacker then it was with my CC 110 headset. That can be felt quite easily. Would be nice to know the exact number for sure. The bike now has a Havoc 750mm bar and Haven 70mm stem. I like this set up.

Stay tuned. In the near future I will convert my U-Turn to a 170 DH. So that will make it another half degree slacker!

I'm pretty well adjusted to the Angleset by now. I don't think I will change it back unless I end up with a 180 fork at some point. It still climbs fine with the travel adjust I have. I have done some pretty tight switchbacks up and down, and it was fine.

Fine thanks !

Can't you get a "projector" like this ?
