Took her our for her first ride today. This is the a large carbon S+ build. The pedals really well and handles great. Only went for a quick 8 mile ride this morning on a XC trail close to work. I need to tweak the suspension a little more but overall I was happy with the ride. My plan is to swap out the plus rims with some carbon rims after a couple more rides. I'm not a fan of the 370 hubs. Coming from the 350s on my previous bike, these were a bit disappointing.

What do folks think about a 150mm vs 140mm fork for this bike?
Isn't it spec'd with a 130? Call up SC and see if the warranty is good with a 150. If so, go for it.
Santa Cruz has fork compatibility listed as 130-150mm on the components page.

We already have one person who built it with a 140mm Fox 36. Hopefully we get some reviews and first ride impressions in soon.

good looking bikes fellas. I think SC nailed it with both color combos.
Really curious on what one of these with fox 36 @140, 2.6's and wider wheels feels like compared to TB3 29er with 130 up front.......
look forward to hearing reviews!

i have a frame on order and that will be the setup. 36 fit4 at 140mm with reserve 30 wheels and 2.6 tyres. Parts coming over from my V2.

First go on the V3 yesterday and I will need more time to get things dialed. First impression coming off of my V2 is kind of what I expected. Longer reach and slacker head angle felt about right and what I was hoping for. I would say my V2 felt less than 130mm in the rear and the V3 feels more like 140mm, this bike wants to go fast but at times it reminds you that you only have 130mm in the rear. Think less slalom bike and more trail smasher yet still has that quick feel.

I've got about 6 hours and 40+ miles on the bike now. This bike really wants to go fast. I swapped out the wheels for Nobl TR38s and really happy with how the bike rides. The bike rolls over stuff with confidence and pedals great. Really like the new geometry. Bike feels way more capable than a 130 bike should.

I did a four hour demo this morning on the new 5010. Major props to Mr. P and his review linked above. I feel he really nailed his review of this bike. Well done sir and thanks for sharing! Nothing much to add other than given it's intended target, I think SC nailed this one. Big time.

Now I must figure out how to explain to "the boss" why I need a 29er and a 27.5....:D
