Hello all.

Just got a 3T Exploro bike.

I decided to create this topic to see if anyone else is riding this bike and what are the thoughts about it.

This is clearly a gravel bike leaning to the road bike spectrum and not the mtb spectrum. Which was what I wanted. I'm more interested in a bike that does road very well, cobblestones, pavet, dirt roads and just light trails or singletracks. I'm wasn't looking for a bike that emulated a mtb.

I have the Exploro Team frame.

Other specs are:

SRAM Force groupset.
Praxis crankset.
42t front.
10-46 cassette.
650b wheels with WTB Byway 47.
Fizik Argo R5 seat.
Shimano XT pedals.
3T Aeroghiaia LTD carbon dropbar.

The weight, with pedals bottle cage, tubes and Lauf bottle opener is 9.250 kg (20.39 pounds).

The frame is a L size, for reference. I'm 183cm, 6 ft.

I'm looking forward to hearing from other Exploro owners and obviously other gravel grinders. Thank you for reading.

beautiful bike. I'm a long time mt biker and when I recently got a GG had the same perspective, a road bike to ride on unimproved roads/bike trails. If I get on trails or single track, I'll be riding my XC mt bike or fat bike with 29+ wheels/tires.

I've had an Exploro Ltd for two years. I used auto vinyl wrap to bling it a bit. I have two wheelsets, one for pure road, one for gravel. Recently upgraded to a hybrid Force and Eagle AXS drivetrain (Eagle derailleur 10-50 cassette). Road setup comes in a shade over 16lbs, gravel about 16.5.

Beautiful bike, nice job customizing it!

Mine is heavier but still a light bike. Maybe the wheels and the pedals are making a difference, I don't know.

It's a great bike, so far I'm loving it!

Works perfectly! Love it, the shifting is flawless. Kudos to SRAM for making that cross compatability for all the 1x users out there. I have a 42 for chain ring and I don’t feel a need for any more top end. The 50 has saved me more than a few times in long canyon trail climbs at 15%!

i got the exploro last year 2019. my general impressions of this bike so far is that its a pretty decent bike but the size large is more like a size medium and the stack is too small i think its around 590mm when it should be around 610 (diverge, aspero).
i think the 2021's come in specific sizes now like 56,58 etc.
Also this bike is not intended for heavy duty gravel rides as my aero seatpost droped down several times. Its rail trail only for this bike.
I'd probably go for the diverge or aspero hindsight 2020.

just got the exploro last year, my impressions are that its a decent bike but for rail trail only..anything rougher and that aero seatpost falls down!!
Also the sizing is a tad small with the stack being only 580mm. on size large.. i think a 610mm stack would be much better.
i would probaly go for the aspero or diverge for rougher rides.

I recently bought exploro max with perfect chunky tires that i can slam any singletrack. It’s been a month and i also had trouble with dropping seatpost. Later i applied some paste but now there is some constant clicking sound coming from somewhere in the frame. I had plans to have 2 wheelset with this bike which is one of them would be more road specific with aero wheels but with recent problems, I’m not sure if i made a good decision with buying this bike. All in all it’s great looking bike and it’s so unique with its color and frame shape but maybe diverge comp would be better choice for me with all it’s features.
Soon I will go to shop that i bought the bike and make them check where this clicking sound is coming from because those problems doesn’t make sense when the bike has only 200km mileage
