From the perspective of a guy who's looked at way too many bike concept renderings that don't see the light of day because they're almost (or just plainly are) impossible:

rockin a Neco pugs just now but 2013 will see me on a lightweight FS fat ride...the sandman is tops on the list unless China gets on board and slams some carbon framesets out!

The designer probably thought that such an impressive bike would - ofcourse - be complemented by the best there is
. Race Face it will be, the new Chester triple cranks (but I've seen a Turbine too...).

I wonder how their hub can be lighter than say a 616 hub since it has a steel axle?
Maybe they have a new hub but on their website the only hub I could find is a modified Shimano XT hub for 320 Euros so not very light or cheap.
The new fork sounds like somehing they will have trouble keeping in stock though.

·I read the article and yes a new squishy fork. My guess is German-A designed etc but welcomed at a key place & time.
