Finished the built up last night and just took it out for a quick shake down...too much fun!!!

My first 29er and first singlespeed so it's going to take minute for the legs and the lungs to catch up with the brain but so far so good, really diggin' the ride so far.

Tires: Specialized Ground Control 2.3 F&R (May swap the rear out for something a little smaller and faster)
Weight: A little over 26 lbs on my finely calibrated bathroom scale. I was hoping for 25, but opted for a burlier wheelset/tire combo to better suit the Front Range trails that I like to ride.

Here's mine, a flat black 18"

Fork is a 140mm revelation
wheels flow front, arch ex rear
R1 brakes
Reverb seat post
Gravity light flat bars
Thomson 50mm stem
tires- Ikon 2.35 EXO

This is probably the most fun bike I've had yet... 26, 27.5 or 29er! Ive been putting a lot of miles on it and it does everything I want out of it, I'm at well over 100 miles on it this week alone! It was built up as a budget bike with leftover parts, but I'm thinking some carbon wheels and XX1 drivetrain are in the very near future... then it will be perfect!

Great job on the frame, it is dialed!!!

Being a broke college kid i had to scrounge to build this, but riding without a SS is missing out. This is the most fun Hardtail i ever had the pleasure to ride :)

On to the PICS!!!!

Earthpig, while we recommend a 100mm to 120mm fork on our site, we see no issues running a 140mm on the N9. We have actually been running our in house demo this way over the last month and LOVE it!

Here is our Headset Guide:

You will need to know if you are running a straight or tapered steerer fork. If you are running a straight, you will need the 30mm crown race. If you are running a tapered, you will need the 40mm crown race. The easiest thing do to is to order the upper and lower cups separately. (Cane Creek calls this their headset solutions.) Below are examples of Cane Creek 110 headsets from BTI-USA.com:

Upper:
DC-1602 ZS44/28.6 upper 8mm black 53g
DC-1603 ZS44/28.6 upper 15mm black 60g (The second option has a taller stack height)

External Stack Lower:
DC-1616 EC44/30 lower 12mm black 61g (Straight steerer)
DC-1617 EC44/40 lower 12mm black 59g (Tapered steerer)

Well, this is the "beta build" for this bike. Harvest some parts off another bike just to get this one rolling until the new wheels and fork arrive. It will end up having blue I9 wheels laced to Stan's hoops, and a 120mm Fox F34 fork. Beefy.

Had the maiden ride this morning and I am in love.

So what's the word on these? I've not received one yet.

I too haven't received the DO yet. Not that it really matters as I'm not going to drop $45 to re-do the rear hose (goodridge) just yet. I would also like to see a red build. Anyone with a chrome frame experiencing any rust at the welds? I've noticed several spots on various welds where the chrome is thin. I noticed the thin chrome, copper peeking out, the day I took it outta the box. The main problem area is at the seat tube/chain stay junction. Very seldom do I ever leave water or mud to sit on the frame.
