Sorry I can't get excited about any Quad 3 offerings.
Agreed, look too much like everybody else's frames these days. I'm sure it rides okay, but I'll take my Quad link 2 bike any day.
Most reviews seem to point out that they have a fair bit more flex than the older quad 2 designs, which is surprising given that they state (yet again) that stiffness has increased 15%, which is the same figure they quoted on the older XM9/8/7's frames over the older Mount Visions.
Also noticed this - The Quad 3 links will use Enduro™ brand bearings for 2013 and carry a 10 year warranty. What, no more lifetime bearing warranties? I know ten years for a bearing is good, but that sounds like a backwards step to me.

I'm a fan of Quad link 2.0 also and i love my 2011 MV. But this Quad link 3.0 isn't bad at all. Stiffness increase also due to 142x12 axle i guess. They didn't have that last year. So al together it could be a bike that i would buy again. Although my 2011 MV still will last for many years (i hope - knock on wood).

You know the drop-outs are able to be switched out on the 2011 MV, so you can have the 142x12 Maxle axle?

Cool, wasn't sure from your reply whether you knew about them or not.

Also, do you think mud/tyre clearance will be an issue with that Y-shaped strut behind the seat tube? It looks to be quite close to the rear tyre in the pic, just where the Y shape joins to a single tube.

Do like the fact they are coming with dropper posts, a good move.

Can't see the current tire size on that picture. But it seems to have some decent wide tires on there already. So i guess that it wouldn't be a problem......

Dropper posts are really a must on this kind of bikes.

Marin did sleep through the current 650B trend. I was hoping to see a 650B MV for 2013.....

Can't get excited either about the new stuff

Still kick myself for not getting a 2011 XM9 140 frame back when Adrenalin bikes had em on sale.

Anyone comes across a size large 2011 XM7, 8, or 9 frame or bike for sale PM me.
